Just filming and posting your lifestyle and fun attitude IS the economy you can bring out there and sustain. Just a homesteader contest series where one couple wins a cabin on your slice of the heavenly wilderness would flow some money in without bringing in too much riff raff. You need some homesteaders who can shoot and edit.

I walked thru this area in 2020 on the Pacific Crest Trail ( PCT). The PCT runs thru the Trinity and Russia wilderness area. You have to remember this was during covid (2020) I didn't see a person for three days on trail, I came to Sawyer Bar Rd, which is a paved road, found two nice guys who were camping along the road. They were spending their days panning for gold in the local streams, it was early morning but the three of us shared a Pabst Blue Ribbon beer while I waited for a hitch ( hitch hike) to the town of Etna (CA) to resupply my food before continuing on the next leg of the PCT. If anyone wants to know, completed the PCT, ( Mexico to Canada) 2652 miles in 120 days😎

My husband and I lived in a tipi in the Blue Mountains in OR on the Grand Ronde River. John Fogerty from CCR had a few acres with a house on it there. My husband got to play bass with him at the little resort. A group of us from Idaho came there and bought some property. It was a great experience, but homesteading is a tough life, and you have to have the $$$ to stay long term. That's why we had to leave when our baby was born. I have a lot of respect for Native women who raised infants in their tipis. I'm 77 now, and the Forgerty Ranch was for sale a few months ago. Shilo owns a lot of the cabins, and it's mostly hunters and tourists there now.

Yes! This nation wasn't built off the backs of a few decades of cotton pickers. It took a whole lot more than that! In fact I'd say bringing people here against their will was the worst mistake our forefathers ever made besides raping and spawning with them. Our European heritage is disgraceful, how our "Forefathers" raped nearly all the females they wanted to. How else would nearly every Black person in the USA be only 55% African and 45% Caucasian.??? Our menfolk did that. Yes, women did occasionally have a 'negro in the woodshed' as lecherous men like to accuse and say. Wanda Sykes is the relative of the first Black female land and slave owner in this nation, according to Who Do You Think You Are, a program on public television. Its documented and public FACT. Her ancestors owned slaves. But it happened for more often with the men. They raped ANY slave they wanted. And yes, men raped male slaves too! 😣😣😣. We aren't innocent! 😣😣😣

I lived in my car for 6 months. It changed me forever. Lost everything I had including my home. My career. My belongings. Tools. Vehicles. Everything. I left with my old saturn ion, my dog, and what I could carry. I was broke. I was depressed. I was it all. Moved into a camper with a friend, started a college course, they let me take my dog EVERY day so she wasn't in the hot camper. My class knew my story and absolutely helped me improve my mindset. Then I went back to my vehicle and traveled across the country. I'm in a new home now. New vehicle. New career. I'm not wealthy, but I'm making it. But boy, I don't forget it and miss many aspects of the freedom. It's not the simple life as he said. Mosquitoes, rain for days, scorching dangerous temperatures in a hot vehicle. It took a lot of energy just to survive. Made my way to live with Momma and got started on the other side of the country.

LOVE THIS, the Diggers & Dead connections!!! Back in 1967, the Diggers wanted to bring the movement from the West Coast to the East Coast. I was introduced to the Diggers, who set up a crash pad in Central Square Cambridge, and hung out with them frequently. One day they invited me to join on the Boston Common to start Love-ins. About 6 of us went to the common area near the Park Street Station and invited everyone we saw to join us on the common the following Sunday. Every weekend the numbers grew. The common was filled with people of all ages just grooving together including lots of Vietnam Vets. Even members of the Hell's Angels joined us. Before long people were gathering daily. As it grew, society became more distressed and demanded action. Within a month, the Crash Pad was "busted." The false news on local media was a great awakening for me. A march was initiated leading from the Boston Common to Harvard Square as a protest making both areas Hippie Mecca's. The numbers continued regardless of the police assualts. The people spoke, history was made! It was truly a sad day when Sharon Tate was murdered by Manson and his Clan leaving its ugly stain on the Hippie peace movement. Sadly, the Love-in's had become smoke-in's then, drug-in's. Times, they were a-changing. The culture was quickly changing faster than the original intentions could stop :(

I am loving this video! I’m a single 58 yr old female RN who is looking to retire early and for years have been researching tiny homes, homesteading and such. I happen to live in Southern Oregon and just a tiny little lot that you can barely even fit a tiny home on in town is nearly 200k. I love the idea of a safe, friendly, clean and hard working community that helps one another. It’s exactly what I’ve been longing for. I don’t need much. I long to live simply, without a lot of useless stuff and spend my time outdoors growing healthy food, hiking with my dogs and improving my homestead. I know forest fires must be a huge problem there. We have them every year. But there’s always going to be risks. This gentleman has done an amazing job creating a beautiful community!! Hit me up.
