I might buy this tomorrow, I already have the 7" 4K bright for the last 3 years and it is awesome., The newer Viltrox 6 inch looks very similar and comes with a hood but not sure about it. I never had needed a hood with my 7" ultra bright monitor,, So I doubt it will be necessary with this one. By the way what is that transition you are using in the final video? Looks cool, like a vibrating inwards top and bottom thing. Can you let us know which transition it is? Thanks

yep comes with the monitor. You have a Micro HDMI output on the left bottom door of the Sony a6700

Can you tap the screen on the X5 to select a subject using the a6700 ?

Unfortunately not, but what you can do is in the Sony Menu have the rear screen set to ON with an external monitor also and then use the tap to focus on the Sony Screen but view the subject via the external monitor.

I just got this today for my a7iii and mine doesn't display none of the camera display information, or show red when recording. Do you know if there's something I need to set up in order to make it work?

In your camera menu, toolbox, hdmi ouput settings. in there you should be able to turn off or on the display. 🙂
