After quite a while of nothing floppy drive related, here you have it!
You might have noticed that I no longer have my drives sitting on brown cardboard, and there's a proper white background now.
This is why I haven't done a floppy video in forever, my room has been renovated, and the drives had to be put away for a few months. I took the oppurtunity to make the setup much more compact and pretty.
So, yeah. Super Mario World Athletic theme. It's a redo of one of my oldest videos, and I hope it's good!
Also, yes. I did combine Nyan Cat and the Athletic theme. That idea came from Max Demski, who made this video ages ago:

Even if you think you sort of hear something you made in it, contact me; I have to do some editing of my own to get the floppies to play the music, and I sometimes use multiple sources. I always forget to go back and see who's MIDI file I use for my vids, but if you want credit, or even if you want me to take down a video, I will gladly comply.
The stepper motor at the back of the drive is what causes the sound. (Looks like a metal cylinder) The program I have converts MIDI notes into different speeds for those motors, which make a sort of clicking noise every time they move. The higher the note, the faster the motors move, and the higher the pitch.

+Ryan Orr Well I wouldn't say I'm /that/ good, but I do put a lot of effort into making sure that the drives actually do play to their strengths. Not all drives are made equal, and therefore all drives sound completely different.

+Techdisk It may be true you're building on the work and talent laid down by the OG's, but when justice finally comes to the world and 'Best Stepper-Motor Guy' becomes a Grammy category, maybe you could do with one or two. Work on that acceptance speech. No crying.
