@@mackdaddy6652 yes sir, just follow my video turn for turn once you get on the man trailhead. Follow trail 10 for a little ways and turn right at the no entry trail in the video. Go to the haul road and turn right. About a mile up the haul rd go left. That’s the devils step trail.

@@TheCanAmCrew ok, I have it saved in my library. Thanks much. Also, I bought a 2021 XP 1000 at Keefers in Logan, last October while I was on vacation down there. Rode a Scrambler 500 for many years before the RZR. In June I got my brand new 24' x 8.5' enclosed trailer. I love mine. Did the epoxy and chips on my floor. Yours looks great as well.

Great video. Been to Rock house and the side trial off 10 to get to the waterfall quicker but didn’t know about this gem of a overlook. Got it marked on my maps and will get it next time. Thanks for the video.

We were at twin Hollows last week it was a great trip. We were heading to the devil Steps but we got stopped on Rockhouse creek Rd and was told it was a private road and no trespassing allowed. But other than that we had a wonderful time... Your videos helped so much getting us around and to find the horses..we are planning 2 trips next year

Another great video! I've been to Hatfield several times, but my first time hearing of this place. Would love to be able to check it out. I'm guessing it's not on the regular trail maps? It's too bad video doesn't do the hills down there justice. Until you've been there, it's really hard to grasp how steep it is in some places. I'm shocked every time I go back. LOL

Ya, I’ve seen a few posts about them putting up gates and closing the other end of the mine down. It’s unfortunate because it was such an awesome view. I’ve heard of other ways to get there. I might have to explore some trails next time down.

Ya they recently gated it off due to active mining. Unfortunately I don’t know of any other way to get there.

Maybe I've not seem the video yet. But why did u wrap ur x3? And do u find tipping or trees scratch cuts in it? Same fore sherry's.?

We did a video last year on wrapping mine. We just wanted them to be different that’s all. It holds up 10 times better than the paint and plastic. I’ve been on my side and against trees and it barely leaves a scratch on the wrap. I love it.

I thought the Rockhouse Creek Rd. was gated between the falls at trail 33 and the trailhead at trail 10. I know it is gated at the trailhead. If I am right you need to be able to go up Spring Branch.

It is gated at the trailhead. We go up trail 10 and down to the haul road to get there. It’s not gated at that point.

It’s been gated and closed off and you are no longer allowed there. I heard there is an active mining operation on top of that mountain and they don’t want anyone up there.

It’s not on lifetime or the older bob t maps. He just added it shortly after I made this video so you’ll have to look for the newest bob t update which is November 15th I believe.

@@pauladkins9470 it can but there is a weird process you have to go through in order for it to work. You can search the Hatfield McCoy Facebook pages for bob t maps. It should come up with a bunch of stuff. To use his maps on an I pad you’ll have to download the maps plus app. That’s the only one it works on for I pads.

I use back country navigator pro with bob t maps. You can find them on the Hatfield McCoy Facebook pages by searching Bob t maps. It’s just off the haul rd at the man trailhead. You can see each turn I take in the video to get you there from trail 10 starting at the trailhead.

Does the backcountry navigator pro with bob t maps show where you are even without data signal? I saw in one of your videos on your tablet it was constantly updating your position as you moved along the trail.

Yes it does, the Samsung tab a tablet I use has an internal gps so no cell service is needed. It works great.

The area around Top of the World a.k.a The View is now part of an active mining operation as of September 2021.

Closed permanently as of today. Went up off 22 which is closed. Got the boot by the police at the top of the mountain and 6 Hatfield trucks at the bottom of the mountain. They were getting ready to close the gate.

Ya, I’ve heard they were putting gates up at the bottom awhile back. They actually had to gates started when we were there but was able to go through with no issues. That’s a bummer because it was such a cool view.

Ya, I think you’ll be fine with a sport quad. It’s a long fairly steep climb but after each climb is a shelf you can stop on if you decided to turn around.

The devils steps is off limits now. It has been gated off and the mining company on top of this ridge is watching it. I can show you where it’s at on my map but your no longer able to get there.

When your watching my video you can see where I turn off of trail 10 and each turn to take to get there. Turn off of trail 10 follow that outlaw trail to the haul rd. Turn right onto the haul rd and go about a mile or so and turn left. It’s right there. 🤘🏻

I’d say a 72” machine. Especially for the trail in West Virginia. They are pretty wide. We have 64” machines and have been ok but the stability of a 72 is much better on the harder trails.
