In this video we went searching for the waterfall, once we found it and played there a little bit we headed toward the black trails. our second black trail the Pro R had a little mishap and almost rolled down the mountain, luckily a perfectly placed tree stopped him from going any further.

Pro r is a great machine I love mine, but with that inline 4 the center of gravity is slightly higher that most. I lowered my rear suspension down some and it helped a lot. I run the the front at 18” and the rear at 16 and it seems to be good, most of the time I’m in comfort on the shocks and disconnecting the front sway bar was huge too! Great video as always guys👍👍

At 33:50 your winch and snatch blocks are hooked up and someone mentioned something about if something breaks, Scott is standing with his head right about even with the cable, if it snaps it could take his head off, NEVER stand that close to the cable especially in the path it will take if it snaps.
@TheCanAmCrew
@TheCanAmCrew Жыл бұрын
I agree, we do use synthetic and it can still snap back but it’s not like in the old cable days. The ropes we use are much safer when they break. We’ve had them go before and not much happens. It’s like a rubber band.
@scottfatta8133

It is hard to tell from the video but I am a good bit away from the winch line and definitely not in it's break path but I do agree 100% with what you are saying.
@ronbowman4145
@ronbowman4145 Жыл бұрын
@The Can Am Crew Yeah although I know synthetic line is safer despite never using it myself, I grew up around jeeps and winches then 35 years in the oil field and I've seen what can happen and I prefer to be to careful. By the way I didn't look close enough or just didn't notice it was synthetic, was kinda worried about Scott.

@TheCanAmCrew
@TheCanAmCrew Жыл бұрын
Thanks, the waterfall is off of the little buckhorn trail. To the left. It’s up a little runoff ravine you can see in my video where we crossed the creek to the trail leading to the waterfall. The blue and black trails are pretty tight. The black trail we were on where the pro r wrecked was sketchy but other than that they aren’t very difficult.

Shout out to the Can Am Crew - I saw Jesse and Sheri and family in a parking lot a few weeks ago on the way to Ivy Branch and they took the time to say hello and chat with me a bit...even got some stickers (despite the fact I shared that I recently got a used Pro XP) - very friendly and much appreciated!!! I see some comments below about ground clearance and 'tippy' machines. We run more trails at moderate to high speed and will hit all the blacks but stay away from the double blacks as that isn't our riding style. I got 32's on the Pro XP and it was at 16" from skid plates to the ground. I lowered to 13-13 1/2" and it helped a lot but of course now I'm sacrificing ground clearance for handling. Just curious, what do you guys run with the 35's? Thanks!
@TheCanAmCrew
@TheCanAmCrew Жыл бұрын
Hey, thank you. I run 16” ground clearance with my 32s and Scott is at 17-18ish with 35s. We still run high speed stuff with no issues. We’re not racing but like to have fun haha.

Question, at 5:20 your heading down the trail with the view and is very rocky,.How is the ride quality in the X3? Is it plush or shake and bake? My back can't take the roughness any more and am looking for a new machine with a plusher ride. Thank
@TheCanAmCrew
@TheCanAmCrew Жыл бұрын
A can am has a very nice smooth ride. We have shock therapy springs so it makes it even nicer but Jason says the pro r is extremely plush as well. Just depends on what kind of money and riding you want to do too I guess.
