Tonight I'm visiting one of the Nation's most talked about and visited Halloween attraction: The Great Jack O'Lantern BLAZE... located in Croton-on-Hudson, about 15 miles outside of Sleepy Hollow New York. Join me as I venture into the darkness of the Hudson Valley and experience over 6,000 illuminated jack o'lantern and a whole bunch of Halloween goodness.

Shane ! I can't believe it ! This was literally UNBELIEVABLE ! I just sat and watched in amazement; beautiful ! That was the most spectacular pumpkin display I've ever seen ! Thank you so much for this awesome tour. They really do put a ton of work into providing such a wonderful family attraction. You did a terrific job with the nighttime filming. Very creative camerawork and production. I loved it ! I hope you had a wonderful Halloween. I handed out candy and battled a cold. Lol ! It was still fun. This was definitely a great treat ! 🎃

Nancy, thanks so much for saying so. As with any DARK location, this was very difficult to document. So what you saw is truly only a morsel of the attraction. I had a great Halloween... decided to stay indoors this year and did my best to take a restful day off :)

I live right down the street from where this happens. Makes going to the grocery store right next to it almost impossible for an entire month lol.

Thank you so much for sharing this jaw dropping pumpkin fest with those of us who don't live in New England. I had never heard of Blaze but can certainly understand why you were so excited to visit and film there. Honestly, I would rather watch your video productions than any television shows featuring travel attractions because your tours help me feel like I am truly experiencing what you are seeing and experiencing. Fabulous job, Shane! You mentioned that there were very few open flames in the area, but I was still wondering if you could smell all the freshly carved, raw pumpkins given that there were some six thousand of them?

Rachel, yeah me too, but I realized pretty quick with the LOW light and the fact that it was towards the end of the night, I had to move fast. Hopefully one day I'll get my hands on a lens that can film in these dark situations. So much fun.... I'm sure you would have loved it!

It's a 2 hour drive away from me, sooo tempting. But I already went and hopped on the Christmas train mentally so I'd probably enjoy it more next year. Thanks for the exposure, I actually never heard of this before! Not being a huge fan of gore and scares, this is right up my alley and exactly the type of thing I want to do in October. Looking forward to your future adventures in the northeast, you're giving me lots of travel ideas :D And I got a postcard from you today woohoo! I was really excited about it so I guess I'm in full out fangirl mode now. I'm ready for this journey of Aroma and other goodness!!

Ummm.... yeah, I am at a loss for words. This truly is amazing! I can hardly wait to show the kids!!! Can you smell pumpkin? I mean, with all those cut open pumpkins I would imagine you could as you walked by them all, but maybe not because its outside? Also, how on earth do they keep animals away from them? Raccoons and bunnies and squirrels and such? Super super fun adventure! Thank you 🤗👏🎃

Rebekah, Oh boy could you smell those pumpkins! I spoke a lot about it on camera, but decided to cut out those moments due to the DARK light situation. My footage doesn't even come close to fully expressing the majestic nature of this attraction. It really is one of those "you gotta see it to believe" art display. Interesting point about the animals... I'm sure that has to be a major issue :) Always my pleasure to share!

Thanks, Shane, for the awesome experience and all the work you've put into the video. One day I would like to plan a roadtrip to visit the places of your entire aromatic adventures. As an English teacher from Germany, who has never been to America, my heart rises when I look at those pictures. By the way, one day you will surely become a great father or uncle, planning the coolest family trips ever.

That's so kind of you. If you ever happen to come to Europe, stop by in Germany and I will be honored to take you to all the important places connected to my childhood memories. ;-) The Drachenfels, there you can find a beautiful castle where Siegfried killed a dragon. Right from the mountain you can see the grapevines...That would be so much fun on aromatic adventures. Looking forward to your next video and live stream.

I can only imagine how amazing this is in person, I was in awe just watching this video. You pulled off the night time video flawlessly! You made it look effortless but I’m sure it was trial & error to do this in the dark. 👏 I am definitely doing this next year, the hour car ride will be worth it! & I hope you enjoyed a cider donut! 🍩

Nicole, yes this is truly something that has to be seen in person to be believed. Very hard to photograph this attraction with the LOW light situation. You should definitely out out for a day to Westchester county.... so many things to do in such a small radius. And yes, those doughnuts were amazing! ;)

Great video once again Shane! Did you try a pumpkin spiced doughnut? I couldn’t believe how many pumpkins they had on show! Have you any videos like this in mind for the festive season? The in depth videos from last Christmas time were brilliant!

Matthew, Thanks so much for saying so! I actually did have a chance.... by the time I finished photographing the attraction the concessions had closed... They actually stayed open about 30 mins longer than they usually do, because the manager of operations knew I was filming (REALLY nice for them to do that!). But, there will plenty of cider/pumpkin doughnuts on this channel before the season is through ;) Thanks again!..... Oh, and I REALLY appreciate your comments regarding last year's Christmas/Holiday content.... the wheels are in motion; so let's hope I can top last year with the content coming up the next couple of months :)

Aw, I had no idea that George Romero passed away. I have a half-baked memory of seeing him (or some other horror director who looks like him, I feel terrible that I can't remember exactly who it was and I can't find news articles mentioning it) at some horror movie screening at the Hi-Pointe Theatre in St. Louis. I recently watched the 2013 Rifftrax live show of Night of the Living Dead and it was so funny - the best character is definitely Sheriff McClelland: "Well, there's no problem. If you have a gun, shoot 'em in the head. That's a sure way to kill 'em. If you don't, get yourself a club or a torch. Beat 'em or burn 'em. They go up pretty easy." And I loved seeing that skeleton horse carousel again from when you first posted it on Instagram.

I just remembered what actually happened: I saw Roger Corman do a live interview at the Hi-Pointe before a screening of The Masque of the Red Death for Vincentennial. His glasses are much less distinctive than George Romero's, but you can see how I got confused because their names are similar.

Cecily, yes definitely a sad year for the Masters of Horror. Night of the Living Dead (or Romero's original title, Night of the Flesh Easters), was certainly a small pebble that has spread its ripples for decades past and those yet to come.
