I love the concept of the quest and I love the reward (necromancer character FTW) but whenever I do it, I borderline need to keep a flowchart to make sure I don't run into one of the dozen ways to bug the quest into being unsolvable or worse not identify the necromancer amulet and have it stuck as a useless unremovable quest item in my inventory for forever and a day. Spoilers below also I'm not sure if their is another way to evade the second issue but I hate being forced to sell _a piece of potently _*_dangerous_*_ magical evidence found in a murder house_ to some random collector (he matters in the end but the main character and first time players usually wont know that, and if they do its even more illogical to sell him the damn thing)

One thing a lot of people don't know is that this Sheogorath is the character from Oblivion, after the events of the Shivering Isles. If you talk to him a lot you'll get the dialogue "I was there when Martin lit the Dragonfires" which describes the final quest in the Main story of Oblivion meaning its got to be the same person, god, thingy.

One of the funniest things about the Dark Brotherhood quests - or should I say FEW of the funniest things about it are : when you kill the decoy emperor, you can keep the Jarrin Root and kill him any other way possible to use the root for a big damage poison. And when you get to where you kill - whatever her name is in Solitude - you can loot all her belongings unless you decided to crush her with the statue.

The death of an empire quest kinda got to me. I mean being betrayed and told that my home base is being ransacked and having to hoof it back there only to find it in flames and like three of my friends dead and haveing to hide in a coffin and cry while everything around ne burns and then finding Astrid like that....it was emotionally draining. Another reason I kinda wish there was a hug mechanic.

My favorite quest ever is given on the Riften docks by an argonian. It leads you to dwemer ruins (I don't remember the name), and it is a linear quest where you follow the ghosts of a group of adventurers and see their memories. They die one after all until one can escape. It is a really good quest.

I thought the first time through that the Companions were really awesome. At first I assumed it was going to essentially be the fighter's guild of Skyrim, killing bandits for coin and keeping the roads safe. The next thing you know you're doing some cult ritual to join a secret inner circle and you're going around killing people that are just doing their best to protect people from evil. Finally, you understand what's going on, and you can see what plagues the leader's mind in his old age. Do you help him atone and find forgiveness in the eyes of the divines? Do you leave him to his fate? Do you even believe in that kid of thing? Do you see it as a blessing or a curse for yourself? I also personally liked the Sanguine Rose quest. In my first playthrough, I had not been to Markarth yet so it was pretty crazy waking up in some totally new place on the edge of the map and trying to connect the dots after your 'The Hangover' style night of wild partying. Doesn't hurt that the dots you are connecting are pretty hilarious, too. 10/10 would get a drink with that Daedric Prince again.

A Night To Remember was pretty fun. Thieves Guild quests were also pretty fun. Never done The Forsworn Conspiracy though. Wolf Queen quests were also fun. And Touching the Sky. For me, The Ebony Warrior quest is honestly a masterpiece. It puts you against what I would call the final boss in the game. Here's mine, a far superior list in no particular order: 1. Touching the Sky 2. No One Escapes Cidhna Mine 3. Elder Knowledge 4. Diplomatic Immunity 5. The Path of Knowledge Some honorable mentions go to the entire College of Winterhold questline, Beyond Death, Chasing Echoes, and Battle for Solitude.
@lievenvanloo60115 жыл бұрын
Touching the Sky? The one where you go around the forgotten vale filling jars with water? They couldn't have picked a more dull thing to do in such a great location imo. Yeah, the final fight was great, but that was about it. I agree with Cidhna Mine. Elder Knowledge has a pretty good dwemer dungeon and ofcourse blackreach. But apart from that it's not much more then a really big fetch quest. Didn't leave a big impression on me. Diplomatic immunity, don't know why you chose that one. Pretty short quest and pretty straight forward. Go to a party, sneak in the back, kill a bunch of thalmor, find a couple of letters and get back out. The Path of Knowledge. Again, decent dwemer dungeon but not my personal favorite. The quest itself isn't that great either. You seem to like dwemer dungeons, so I'll give my own favorite dwemer dungeon quest: Lost to the Ages. Ofcourse Kagrenzel is a lot of fun, but it doesn't have it's own quest, although apparently some fetch quests can lead you there. The dungeon underneath Markarth is also quite nice.

I really hated the Dark Brotherhood quests because of how attached I got to the characters. I cried for more than 10 minutes just because the five people died. Astrid’s death was meaningful to me. She betrayed the Brotherhood in the first place because she thought it would save it. And after seeing that it didn’t, she performed the Black Sacrament _on herself_ because of the guilt and the thought that she needed to die because she technically killed all that she held dear. I don’t know about all of the rest of you, but the Brotherhood quests were the best of all. I hated them in a good way.

They weren't even honoring their contracts anymore. I honestly disliked Astrid's ideas and their opinions about the brotherhood, which wasn't even one anymore. Though I agree that this put aside, they were all interesting characters with their own beliefs, experiences and morale which was quite enjoyable. They were quite the nice fellows, if one forgets their blasphematic attitude.

Me too, honestly. I couldn't give a rat's ass about any of the Oblivion characters tbh

They were such a ragtag bunch of misfits. Unlike the companions or the thieves guild there were actually quite the unique characters...

Ricardo VS True but to say most of Skyrim’s quest were bad is baffling to me. Don’t get me wrong it had is fair share stinkers but most of it is sounds like hating.

I don't know how he can say that the dragons are boring. Literally nothing in any game ever before did anything like what Skyrim did with dragons. I mean, they're just so fricking epic and you can harness their powers to annihilate foes. He is just being a petty, unreasonable purist grasping at straws to find every possible reason that Skyrim is worse than the earlier TES games. And I think the class and skill system is just as good in Skyrim as it is in the other games. Skyrim let's you go on your own and develop your own unique class by leveling up your skills as you play through, rather than just asking you right off the bat "you wanna be a thief, or a mage?"

Andrew Bresnan The dragons are epic, *AT FIRST* , but as you goes on, they just fall short. And yes, most of the quest are BORING AS FUCK, some are good, but not as good as the previous TES games, the leveling system is… somewhat better? But, it's just heavily casualized that it doesn't feel like an RPG anymore, and more like an HackNSlash action adventure rather than an RPG. Also, the unrestricted skill is somewhat infuriates me, like, in the end of the day, you're not a rogue/thief/archer anymore, you're just an overpowered god-among-men jack-of-all-trades kind of thing, and that's not a good thing

Dragons dont feel powerful they are weak and last time i checked weak wasnt a synonym for epic

For me one of the best quest is Lost to the Ages. Really epic and big quest which seems like should be more than a side quest . I don't know if there's another quest as big as this.

The mind of madness is definitely my favorite skyrim quest too. just so silly, and anything with good ole sheogorath in it is automatically the best thing in the game.

I think the deal with the path of dreams is that Pelagius was kept up at night by the noises he heard around the castle, and by shooting the monsters (Which are what he assumes the noises to be coming from) you turn them into what they really are. While this makes sense in regards to the flame atronach actually being the crackling of a fire, or monsters turning out to be maids or animals, I have no clue what the chest and young pelagius are supposed to be

You cracked me up at the Malacath shrine Giants quest and the flying. Anyways, i think Skyrim could have had a replayability moment had they designed certain quests based on the skills one picked. For instance, having more thief skills would make you eligible for the thieves guild quest but not the Companions or the College of Winterhold. Same goes for warrior and access to the Companions questline but not the Winterhold or Thieves questline. Granted this would mean that some of the main quests would have to be formatted so that they wouldn't end up going to these places but thats a simple algorithm that can be done based on the amount of skills a player has. The quests can, of course be started later on after the required skills are increased through leveling. I just thought it was stupid that a mage could join the Companions.
