Same here with my 19 RAV4 LE AWD at 131k miles, knock on wood. This car is literally a maintenance free tank. Still on original everything except for tires, wipers, oil, washer fluid, and filters. I’m on the second set of tires and they are less than half worn with 90k miles. I broke a belt in the original tires carrying over a ton in the back.

Many of the jobs are obviously not DIY, but it's still beneficial to know the basics of how the systems work and why they were designed the way they were. I own 3 Toyota vehicles and the more I understand about them the better. Please more in depth videos, I'm here for all of it.

Another absolutely excellent video---One comment--I wouldn't ever buy a car with only Direct Injection. I've seen the carbon on Audi/VW products--it's horrible. Partial answer is a "catch can"--but adding one yourself would void warranty. One MB exec told me they don't do catch cans at oem level because consumers would forget to empty them and really mess things up. The Toyota system is an excellent compromise...

That's very reassuring about D4S. My wife's 2022 Lexus RX350 has a 2GR-FKS engine, and I was leery of the extra complication & reliability risks of dual fuel systems. But apparently Toyota has refined D4S for ~20 years and probably have thoroughly "nailed it", just like their hybrid technology. I'm also thankful that Toyota/Lexus don't need obnoxious "automatic start/stop " or cylinder deactivation gimmicks to achieve gov't mandates. Nevertheless, I am conservative regarding daily driver cars & their reliability, and given a choice, I'd have been happier with just port-injection alone, even if does give up some efficiency & power.

Here is another positive feedback. I am a big fan of your channel and these type of honest videos as well. It is awesome to learn about your point of view and Toyota quality. 🙂 I have a suggestion as well, but this might outside of the scope of this channel: sometime the best thing is to learn from failures. I know your shop is busy, and content creation takes so much time. Why don't you catch a random failed/destroyed/faulty engine from a junkyard and tear down it to parts sometime. In this case you can save some time because garbage is garbage but the investigation of the original root cause (and previous owner's mistakes) might worth the effort. Anyway, thank you for this channel and wish you all the best!
