I really appreciate and enjoy the fact that you used storage bins, baskets and other item's that were already there. We forget that 100+ year's ago, the average person in the USA, France or most western countries had a maximum of four changes of clothing. That included one set of clothing for formal events, such as church, funerals or special gatherings. When I ponder that world view, it keeps me asking how can I wear what I have and make that fresh. That was a very cathartic practice, that I desperately need to do myself. Thanks 😊

Caroline was so cute! She looked relieved at the end. I live in Paris suburbs and when I moved here my partner's closet was huge. All his siblings have big closets too. It is ingrained in their culture. I finally managed to gather our clothes into the space we have in the house we bought, but it took a while to make it reasonable.

Love that u kept finding organisational items. To me it shows that she wanted to organize but did not find a starting point which u provided. Also loved your commentary. A closet needs to work, not pretending to be a minimalist closet. Also consider that this is 2 people's worth of stuff in a tiny area. In a big house even the "before" might look " minimal". Very impressed how she just casually moved the whole shelf with the clothes inside. Very strong woman 💪💪💪😊

Thanks for letting us watch you declutter. As a 60 year old recovering people pleaser, I applaud your hard work and encourage you to add two ideas to your decision making. 1. Listen to YOUR voice. Your first reaction is probably your instinctive, honest reaction. Remind the voices in your head that you know yourself and what works best for your life. It helps me to say it out loud. 2. If you put on clothes and don’t feel like an 8 out of 10, let that item go. You’re smart and beautiful and you deserve to adorn yourself in clothes that accentuate your true essence.

oh congratulations !! so inspiring !!! i totally felt overwhelmed the other day too when trying to organise so many things too.. i started a huge purge of my whole flat.. but i have felt so emotional that i do it by categories and steps. Today I sent to recycle very broken old boxes too that serve years and years, very broken, and when letting them, i felt a huge liberation.. and i even wondered then, why i expected so long :) So it motivates me to carry on this check and letting go to my whole stuff, :) Autumn is perfect to let go i feel :) as the leaves on the trees.. ;) thank you for sharing this, it is inspiring so much to face it :) ohhh so sweet the gifts :) :) lovely :)

I have linens, a box of memorabilia, my suitcase, and bag of bags in the closet AND THAT'S IT! 😂😂 I have everything in drawers. Off season is in the suitcase. I don't wear much 💀 I'm looking forward to new clothing at some point, though ❤️❤️

That whole set up reminds me of the ikea setup I had 8 years ago I had in my current apt in my bedroom life was so much easier when I had that setup like that due to my ADHD brain I had become the Queen or organization setups in my apt until I got distracted getting in a new relationship but I am happy to say I am back to creating organizational systems that had worked for me
