I moved to Romania in 2009, returned to the states to help my elderly parents in 2019. American friends find it odd, but every day I long to be in Romania especially over the last few years of woke madness. If you haven't already, clue your viewers in on just how astounding Easter is in Romania

You should visit more cities in Romania, if you want to take a "city break" in Iasi (here we like to think this is the second big city after Bucharest), me, my wife & our little girl will happily be your guides.

Being a fan of your family with Romanian roots, it is nice to see this country through your videos. I accidentally found it while trying to discover more about Romania and making some of the foods i remember. Watching you make samale made me inspired and i made it after watching you. I look forward to your next video. Hope you feel better soon.

Why don’t you bring your parents to Romania? At least for a while.Let them live with you for the time they got left. It would be nice!

We would love that, but unfortunately my dad has some health issues that wouldn’t allow it.

Oooooh Bethany, if you say the boo boo is in your sinuses, do try you allergy meds first, and if the congestion doesn't go away, check with an ENT (ORL in Romanian). Cause from my own experience, allergies can trigger tonsillitis, laryngitis, ear infections and sinus infections... or just inflammation that'll cause lots of discomfort like headaches and sometimes even nausea. And if you're prone to having them as often as I do, I could recommend you some non/less invasive things that work for me. But it's up to you, cause everybody is different. I'm saying this, because years ago when I first started to have this problem (mine was initially triggered by tooth infection and exacerbated by rheumatism, later came the allergies), I actually had a severe case of lock jaw, and my family dr could do diddly squat about it, just prescribed me antibiotics that gave me an intoxication; it was only when I went to the dentist, he knew immediately what the problem was and told me ways in which I could treat it more efficiently. So yeah, conclusion: ask for a referral ( bilet de trimitere) to a specialist. The family doctor doesn't know quite EVERYTHING. Sa fiti sanatosi! Glad you're back.

Hey guys… we’ve been following you guys for a while and had a question for you guys. When you all first went over to Romania, which visa did you guys apply for and how long did it take? We’re looking to making the same move and would like to have a little insight from someone who’s in a similar situation as us. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

That’s awesome! When we first came, we applied for a one-year volunteer visa. But we weren’t told that as a U.S citizen, you could do this one time. So we had to look for other types of visas after our first year. Once you arrive, you have 90 days before you have to have your visa. We started the process after just a couple weeks as it can sometimes take awhile to get all of the proper paperwork. If you have the $, it might be beneficial to hire an immigration lawyer to help you with all the details after you arrive. But things you can do to prepare in advance are to get apostilled copies of all documents now (marriage and birth certificates) etc. Hope some of this is helpful to you!

@@THECALDERONFAM thank you guys. The info is greatly appreciated, I think the immigration lawyer probably the best bet for us. We’re a family of 5 and don’t want to mess anything up.
