A lot of people don't realize how hard it is to keep stuff like this maintained as well, I've been in the community long enough to know that finding a bot let alone is hard enough, I've heard stories and I'm seeing the ways things have been collected over the years and put in smitty's, and I can say that this is not only an amazing restoration effort but the hard work of a dedicated fan, you won't find any coolness or awesomeness in any CEC location today nearly as much as it is here, I hope this place stays around for such a long time, definitely a landmark for the fandom, but not only that, I think even people who aren't in the CEC and rock-afire fanfom will still find this as a nostalgic walkthrough.

When I was a bit younger, I didn't even know what an animatronic was until Fnaf came around. Hell, I don't even live in America, so it was a while before I found out about Chuck E. Cheese and Showbiz Pizza Place, and we don't have any fancy animatronic restaurants in my country either. But honestly, I really respect the people who build and maintain these, it's so awesome to see! Though some still look a bit creepy, even without the Fnaf influence.

THEN around 1984...I am pretty sure...we had Bullwinkles open...it completely blew both Chuck E Cheese and Showbiz Pizza out of the water in themeing , shows and definitely WAY better food...had a dancing water show and Bullwinkle Animatronics...Was the first place ever that we saw Waffle Fries....it was part of the Miniature Golf , Family Fun Center that had bumper boats , batting cages , go carts and multiple arcades...place was awesome! Seconding what the replier above said, FNAF is what got me interested in animatronics in the first place and is what introduced me to Chuck E Cheese itself. I'm interested in the technical aspect of them too, so I'd like to make animatronics one day. Yeah they're creepy, but they're also really cool!

I'm 43, lived in Arkansas all my life. We had Showbiz when I was little before it went out of business and got to see the rockafire explosion live . This video brought back a lot of memories.

Kind of neat seeing the Chuck E. Cheese and Rock Afire Explosion both coexisting in the same room. It would be neat if both shows could somehow interact with each other.

I’m 44 and I had a chance to see the Rockafire Explosion at Showbiz Pizza when I was a kid. I have a very vivid memory of sneaking up to the curtain of the stage with a friend and peaking behind the curtain. All I saw was the gorilla figure with his gold jacket on sitting there kind of slumped forward. Then a we heard a sound like an air compressor or something and the gorilla moved ever so slightly. It kind of spooked us but excited us at the same time. We ran back to our seats, lol. This was in northeast Texas. It was awesome and it’s a memory I will treasure my whole life.

@@benji_productions. CEC threw out the last remaining portrait animatronics (excluding Crusty the Cat and a Chucky that are owned by other people) during a recent remodel from a few years back, so I don’t think they really care.

This is actually the first time I've seen more of Smitty's Super Service Station (that's not just the impeccable animatronic shows) Also I had no idea the little mouseholes under The Balcony actually went anywhere. That's gotta be a wild place to run around in while shows are playin.

This is insanely cool!! It looks so interesting and cozy. I have such massive respects for archivers and maintainers, especially in a world so focused on the new, it's rare folks care about preserving the past. Damon seems to know his stuff, too. I didn't grow up with Chuck E Cheese (I'm European), but I'd love to visit this place.
