In Kamba ramayan in tamil, Hanuman is called "sollin selvan", meaning the person who has the best articulation of words. The way Kamba ramanyan says is, when Hanuman comes back after finding Sita in Lanka to Rama, the way he uses words to convey is this. Normally in tamil we say, "sita was found", like stating "Sitayai kanden". However he thinks if I just say the word Sita first, Ram might break down thinking, something happened to her. Hence he says "Kanden Sitayai" meaning "SAW SITA" though it is not the right sentence formation in Tamil. Kambar poet states, Hanuman in such a way that he understands peoples emotion and changes his vocabulary to that extent.

Hindu society has misogyny whether you like it or not yes it is not like Islam and Christianity, plus monotheistic religion in general is more violent in nature because of their theology. But that does not mean hindu society do not have discrimination whether it is caste based faultlines or gender based discrimination. Before anybody go crazy let me make it clear I am a practicing hindu and do not support leftist or feminist propaganda against hindus.

Badhiya discussion! Sitaji ko ' bechari,Dukhiyari Parityakta' dikhane me Hmare sanskrit or Hindi ke mahan Sahityakaron ne bhi koi kor - kasar nahi chhodi. Phir filmon me bhi pati dwara tyagi hui,dukhiyari stree ki tulna hmesha Sitaji se ki gai. Is par kabhi vichar nahi kiya gaya ki Sita ji swayam ek rajkumari thin.Or Rajdharm ki shiksha unhe apne Shreshth Raja Pita Janak se mili thi.Raja ke kartavya wo bhali - bhanti samjhti thi.Or uske palan me Raja Ram ka poorn sahyog karti thi. Jaise filmkar creative liberty ke nam per manmani kar lete hain,usi tarah Kaviyon or lekhkon ne bhi Ram Katha batane me bharpur liberty li.Or thathyon ko Toda maroda hai.

Interesting discussion. But IMHO you guys missed one interesting character that is central to the entire epic. Mandhara. As she is called Kooni ( literally meaning bent woman not just physically but in charecteer). How this woman changed Kaikeyi’s mind so easily? There were no hints in the epic prior to this re Kaikeyi’s desire re Bharatha inheriting the throne. Moreover she must have also had strong idea the devastating impact her request will have on Dasaratha. Yet how did Mandhara changed Kaikeyi’s mind in one conversation? People don’t just flip like that yet she did!

Regarding decision making in two cases. Let me explain. 1. In first case of asked to go to forest. Here beneficiary of his decision was Bharat, his dear brother. The orders for forest came from his respected father and mother, both of them love him. Additionally he is obedient son as well. Regarding Ravan, this was the main purpose of his taking birth to destroy Rakksha which was not possible without him going to forest. Rest is for doing his duties towards wife, friends, and society at large.

Many of the points you discuss are illustrated in the discourses on the Ramayan, especially those by Smt Vishaka Hari. It is in Tamil and may be that is why you are not aware of that. She so loves and admires Rama and Anjenaya and all the characters in the Ramayan. I did enjoy your discussion, too. I love watching people enjoy what they are doing, whether it is a concert or a discussion of characters in the Ramayan as in this one!

For doing tapasya you have to be a brahman , that's for sure, but it doesn't mean you have to be a brahman by birth. There are ways that can convert anyone (even a shudra) into a brahman. So for doing tapasya you just have to get brahmatya first. Shambhuka was killed because he was taking a short cut. And Shree Ram also interrogated about his intention for doing tapasya, which was full of malice, that's why he had to stop him. (Brahmatya has its own criteria, even a son of brahman might not be a brahman if he has malice in his heart)

kushal i have aPhD in philosophy 1:05:42 1:05:42 from the American University Phrnomrnology snd neo marxism mistly Heidegger snd the Frankfurt. School i think getting into a debate of relative and absolute ethics is bogged down in Aristotelian logic t” The Critic “ the subject always has a role in denying relativity though an infinite abdolute but the critic makes the decision as to what is relative snd what is abdolute Yoi have fallen into the sand error as Kant who wants to pursue” Aoriori that ultimately justified bourgeois relations of production as well as well entrenched chridtian morality with a facade of secularism “ The Critc “ in western philosophy is always looking for rule to follow not recognizing thst sny rule in itself is synthetic so the ultimate decider is “ The critic”

Kushalbuddin is not even at the level of aristotelian. He is an ayn Randist cultist with a fetish for universalism which stands for western authoritarianism. Same arguments are used by western colonialists against the pagans that they lack "Standrds" ie rules.
@arunjetli7909
@arunjetli7909 Жыл бұрын
@@suryasen7 I will not decry Kushan , I really like his attitude , and am a fan, of him , but yes “ also me” you have a point. I did not get into Indic logic till my sixties because my education in India andUSA never introduced me to the multivalued logic of the Jains or to the inductive logic of Nyaya, Samkhya other schools. This inductive logic was established in the west during the scientific revolution , but it has bypassed the western social sciences and humanities to this day, Kushal , I love your love for Carvaka , I like them too,but they fall into the trap of empiricism by giving importance to non existing transcendent God . Being an atheist or not is pretty much irrelevant to most Indic epistemology.. that is the reason that no Indians were burnt at the steak for being non believers. Theventire Kantian ethics, along with utilitarianism is a critique of certain parts of western theology, but retains its essence that’s being that it human being but an outside force is required whether it is the Bible or nature which is a quasi God

@suryasen7
@suryasen7 Жыл бұрын
@@arunjetli7909 yes sir you've hit the nail on the head about western empiricism. Its object orientation derived initially from an attempt to "secularize" the agency of the monotheist God ie to ground religion's ideological orientation to the material ie "nature" and thus make it more stable but I think at some point there was also a falling back to religion's original impetus ie to culturally subjugate and propagandize. Thus the humanities "could not* be touched. Kantian object orientation thus realigned as the true God and the subjective ie the pagan the other the subject also could then be dismissed (routinely ) as faulty, as "superstitious" as it had originally during religion's original formulation as cultural propaganda. The rules based ethics gives western ideologies their authoritarianism. And thus naturally appeals to scoundrels. I see the carvakas as simply a non-existent school in ancient bharata. It was a term used to describe recalcitrant positions by habitual contrarians.perhaps also applied to egoists and epicureans. Certainly not a Darshana. Kushalbuddin I'm sure had a "hissy fit" reading your comments. Hopefully this text will be received by you and not erased.
@suryasen7
@suryasen7 Жыл бұрын
@@arunjetli7909 basically, exclusive object oriented logic is a prerequisite for cultural propaganda. It also is incidentally prioritized by scoundrels scamsters and the like, and in the colonial setting by sepoy collaborators.
