This is my first time viewing your program. I’m a cradle Catholic man 74 years old. The Traditional Latin Mass and Baltimore Catechism were my foundation for the first 10-12 years of my life. As a teenager, I was not realizing what was really taking place as the implementation into the Church of the so-called SPIRIT of Vatican II was happening. I trusted the Church and ignorantly and through obedience accepted the changes to the Mass and other things introduced into the Church. I felt something was wrong, but it wasn’t until my children began CCD and I began to observe and monitor what and how they were being taught, that I awakened horrified. I became involved in CCD program and started attending catechetical development classes for teachers. These were taught by lay women, nuns in modern dress and priests. What was being presented as authentic Catholic doctrine was twisted to a feel good religion and the Mass. need of sacraments, sacramentals, reverence, piety, virtue, commandments, etc, etc, etc reduced to little importance. I got qualified (as they defined it) to teach and taught the True Faith, but not without bouts of warning scrutiny and direct attacks for 20+ years. It All went wrong in the 1960’s, into the 70’s and the fruits are what we are and have been seeing and living ever since. In my humble opinion, only by divine intervention can the tide be turned. Many souls have been deceived.

At age 55, I fondly recall the sanctity of the Latin Mass and how the Eucharist was THE reason for our gathering each Sunday. Even as the Novus Ordo changed the orientation of the Priest and changed from Latin to the vernacular, the Communion rail and the centraiity of the Eucharist and Sacristy remained early on in Erie (PA) Diocese. Unfortunately, though I went to Parochial School (which quickly changed to just plain Catholic Elementary) for eight years and on to four at a Christian (Catholic) High School, the older I got, the less our Faith was emphasized. Now I see the methodical deterioration of the faithful and the reckoning is upon us. We are the torchbearers for the true Catechism and absolutely must not let it fade into lost history

As a Catholic I love to snicker when the Head of my College at Oxford University had a Catholic Priest come and drive out a demon in a specific room. A British Student seeing the Catholic Priest was upset by this and confronted the Head Principal asking why he hadn’t contacted a Church of England Priest. He said he had and the Protestant Priest came and after a few days said for the College to contact a Roman Catholic Priest! 😂

The thing is.. the Catholic Church has an immense knowledge and authority given by Christ himself (to Peter as the head and the others) and the Church. Demons hate Latin and Gregorian Chant. Why? Because they are intrinsically related to the true Church. Demons are VERY legalistic. They recognise ONLY the authority of the Catholic Church.

There is a reason for that. We grew up hearing how monstrous the Church truly is. From the hundreds and hundreds of unmarked child graves in Canadian "Schools" that the Church still refuses to release documents about, to the decades of child sex abuse that the Church hid by silencing victims and protecting pedophile priests. I would only ask that you keep the Church accountable for what they have done, and the things they refuse to repent for.

What this gentleman is saying is True. I grew up Catholic. By the age of 4 I started seeing spirits when I was in the dark. I didn’t know What they were. My sister whom I shared a bunk bed with couldn’t see them and her or my mom and dad didn’t believe me. Eventually as I got older I was abused by my mom’s second husband from 12-16. After she divorced him and left I got involved with drugs and alcohol as I felt angry and depressed that no one protected me. Years later I moved into a house with my best friend of about 13 years. He warned me not to do recordings as he admitted to doing them himself and stopped after being thrown across the room by a demon. The house was a halfway house where I had met my friend. But his aunt sold the house to a church. Many people overdosed on the property before I actually moved in afterwards. He even showed me pictures of these things that he was able to capture on his phone. We were getting everything from knocks on the doors and walls, to both of us seeing objects flying off the table. I even had a True Divine Intervention in that house as I screamed out to for God to help me. Awhile after I had this experience I continued to do recordings and foolishly thinking it was alright because I was trying to contact good spirits. I had already seen demons on a few occasions as I would become immobilized in my bed and couldn’t scream or talk. One specific morning I was in my bed and I opened my eyes to see a dimension hovering above me. I could see something behind this dimension. As I reached my finger up to it, after the 3rd time I saw the eyes of a snake. I knew it was a demon though. Literally a second after I quickly pulled my finger back my best friend came into my room and said my name. After that I lost my hearings completely. He described how I was laying on my side and I very slowly sat up without using my hand or anything to lift my body weight. I remember feeling so much Hatred and wanting to attack my best friend. I was able to quickly stop myself by questioning Why I wanted to hurt my best friend. He described my eyebrows as being almost up to my hairline, and that my pupils were pitch black and appeared to look exactly like the eyes of a snake. I feel I wasn’t 100 percent possessed but almost. I remember never taking my eyes off of him. He left the room and came back with a book in his hand that I couldn’t what it was. But I became more angry as soon as I saw the book. He was standing in front of me demanding this demon to leave me at once. He said he told this demon he would call upon the Arch Angels and send this demon back to Hades. I was deaf through the 5 minutes of this. He then pulled out the book which was the Holy Bible and described as he had placed it upon my head. He said before the Bible even reached me head that my eyes came back to my own. I collapsed slowly onto my pillow and passed out. A minute or two later I opened my eyes and hugged him as I told him I just saw snake eyes but it was a demon. I couldn’t remember anything until later when I woke feeling like I hadn’t slept in days, after he sat me down and told me everything that happened. I was in shock as the whole experience came back to me. I stopped doing recordings completely and have devoted each morning to praying at 3am. I haven’t been attacked since I began reading the scriptures and completely giving up doing Anything that will attract spirits. This is Real! I encourage Anyone who is trying to communicate with spirits to Please Stop! I have my own apartment and I don’t get attacked by anything anymore. I recognize moments where I get tested in my Faith, but I learned the hard way how this is Nothing to Tamper With. I have No Fear against demons anymore. Because I Know that God had Far Greater Power. I’m writing a book on these experiences. People just don’t know what they’re attaching themselves to when they think this stuff is harmless. God Permits things when we ignore what He Wants. God Bless You All. 🙏

I hate to say this but a lot of the reason for Catholics falling into these occult practices is due to lack of grounding in the Word. I’m a Catholic convert. I was raised in a Baptist and Methodist household. I was baptized in the Presbyterian church and confirmed in the Episcopal church. My first introduction to Catholicism was in the 1970s when I attended Catholic middle school. I’m 62 and I converted to Catholicism at age 50. I’m thankful for my time in Protestant churches because I’m grounded in the Word. Many Catholics have not been encouraged to know the Word in addition to rituals and recited prayers. When they come into contact with other types of rituals and the occult objects mentioned in this video, they just substitute those for what they seen in Catholicism. But the Word cannot be replaced. That is why the rituals and holy items of the Church need to be emphasized ALONG WITH THE WORD. Catholics who study and know the Word in addition to the other riches of the Catholic faith are some of the strongest Christians.

I'm a Catholic man who left the church when I was 13 and later at 16 moved in with my dad after my mom passed from cancer. In my mid 20's, I started practicing the occult after a bad breakup with my then girlfriend and really it was about healing, then it slowly became something far more sinister. At the end, I was worshiping the Norse goddess Hel, the goddess of death. She's basically where everyone goes to when they don't die in battle, according to Norse mythology. Hel is a prefix for many English words, such as Helmet, and names such as Helen. Hel basically means beneath or under. Hell is the Latin word for Hel. So, I had my little statue of Hel as a centerpiece to my altar of skulls (Halloween props) and bones. I had skull and bones candle holders, a bulls horn that belonged to my grandfather which he had made into a beer opener and an oil can opener, lol. And I had black candles and black stones and a black knife and so forth. I practiced witchcraft, I used tarot cards, I had a pendulum that even freaked out my witch teacher. I learned a lot about herbs and incenses and how to strengthen my will. Now, there's many problems with practicing the occult. The main problem is, from everything learned, none of it will give you salvation. Only God, our Lord Jesus Christ can give salvation. Witchcraft and crystal knickknacks might solve immediate problems and earthly problems, but they will never help your spirit. And no Celtic or Norse god or goddess will ever guide your spirit to an afterlife. 90% of the stuff recommended in the occult is bs. The occult is full of false teachers and false prophets who are just out to make a buck. People practicing the occult sin when they use their will over God's Will. Most Christians who leave Christianity for the occult do so because of lies spread on the internet about pagan traditions being stolen by the Church. These lies have been conjured by Marxists knowing full well that most, if not all, Christians are completely ignorant of Church history and why we celebrate the holidays. Take Christmas for instance. Some have suggested Christmas was stolen from the winter solstice, December 21/22. Others say Saturnalia, December 17. But, Christmas was created by Church father Irenaeus between 130 - 202 AD who connected Mary's conception with the Passion week (week of Passover) using the date of March 25th. Irenaeus then calculated forward 9 months and got December 25th. Hippolytus of Rome (170 - 236 AD) noted Christmas on December 25th based on the earlier tradition of Irenaeus. Sextus Julius Africanus (160 - 240 AD) noted December 25 as the date of Jesus' birth in the year 221 AD. But Christmas wasn't celebrated as a Roman holiday until 336 AD by the Emperor Constantine. Modern Paganism has also attacked Easter. Easter was first named Passover. In Latin, Greek and Arabic Easter was called Pascha, meaning Passover. Only in English speaking countries is Jesus' resurrection day known as Easter. And only in German speaking counties is it known as Ostern. Both meaning Eastern Sunrise, or simply, Dawn. All Saints Day is celebrated on November 1st, along with the Celtic tradition of Samhain. But All Saints Day was originally celebrated on May 13th started by Pope Boniface IV in 609 AD. In 837 AD Pope Gregory moved the holiday to November 1st. It wasn't until US marketing that Halloween (All Hallows Eve), was synonymous with monsters and candy. After I left the occult, it took me about a year to return to Catholicism and a few months after that to go back to church. So, have patience with yourself and with others and the answers will come to you.

I'm not a Catholic man but I am a Catholic lady. I have to say that I'm a little concerned about this erroneous idea that the TLM is going to fix everything and that if you go to the TLM you will be assured not to fall into the occultism. As an older Catholic lady raised in the traditional mass during the 50s and 60s, I can assure you this is not so! I was HEAVILY involved in occultism for 30+ years after leaving the Catholic church around 1969 or so. The New Mass had not even been instituted yet but changes had come to the traditional mass and customs that many of us didn't understand. I've thought long and hard since coming back almost 4 years ago and it seems to me that the greatest problem we have is the lack of good, solid, orthodox catechesis. The current catechism as it has been taught in the last 20 or so years seems to be filled with what we now see as woke ideology. Back in my day, the catechesis was all around FEAR. God will punish you; God will send you to Hell; FEAR! FEAR! FEAR! Had more been said about His incredible and unending Love and Mercy for us, I likely would never have left the church and maybe that would be so for a lot of the youth of my day. Now the catechesis is all about God's Love but nothing about His Divine Justice and sin. I am so proud of my pastor and the school principal for taking a hard stand against woke ideology and turning the catechism back around to orthodox Catholic teaching, and changing the dress code. Can't wait to see what happens! Yes, he lost quite a few students, and his hard line preaching at Mass has driven away some of those lukewarm Catholics, but he knows he will have to stand in judgement at the end if he doesn't do all in his power to save souls from fatal error. I'm so proud of him!

@CombatingCatholicism No, my issue is not with those scriptures, my issue is with your misinterpretation of those scriptures. If you look closely it says "I" ( not God) referring to Timothy and his rules for that particular church based on the issues going on at that time in that particular location.there was a similar issue going on in the Corinthian church. If you take the verse out of context, you miss that women of that church were uneducated with no previous understanding of scriptures which made it inappropriate for those women to speak in church in the way they were doing so. This point is further validated by Paul's clear representation in Corinthians that women do pray and prophesy in church ( ie, they are not silent). He just put a framework around how this was to be done In a respectful and orderly manner, always recognizing the structure God put in place for the family.

35 year parapsychologist and lifetime Catholic here. I got sucked into EVP research about 15 years ago and went to a very dark place. I was scratched, pushed, heard audible voices and got into all kinds of terrible relationships. I gave up EVP research five years ago and am living in peace now. The truth is at least two popes condoned EVP research in the 50s and 70s and the top EVP researchers of the 20th century were Catholic,” so I felt I had the Church’s approval in the evil I was doing. We always have to look to Scripture and the Catechism for direction because even priests bishops and popes err. Giving up the occult is key but prayer and the Sacraments are the bar on the door against these demons.

As someone who unfortunately has experience with the occult, I turned to look at christianity as a way of protection and Catholocism was the only one that offered OBJECTIVE descriptions of spiritual defense; other than just "talk to god and have faith", but more like... this is what demons are, this is what angels are, these are 10 different prayers you can say on the subject + in latin, use the rosary, living saints, invocation, LITERALLY THE ONLY DENOMINATION THAT OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZE DOCUMENTED MIRACLES AS OCCURING OUTSIDE OF THE BIBLE. To me all other forms of Christianity are dead on the vine, Saints themselves make the religion seem more approachable.. because we know Jesus is perfection, but those people managed something close to it.

I don't pray the Rosary all that often and I don't keep a cross in every room, but one thing I make for sure is that I fast once a week. Sunday is the most convenient for me and besides the Eucharist and perhaps a 0 sugar energy drink, it's nothing. meals, no small snacks, from 12:00 A.M. Sunday to 6:30 A.M. Monday morning. One of the things that helped me with this was that I had a weight loss goal and a cheat day Saturday, so on Sundays I made a habit of fasting at first to help lose weight but as time has gone on and the more I've done it, God has been introduced more and more into my fast and now it's less about helping with digestion for me and more about getting closer with God. Maybe this outlook will help a bit more with fasting, I started for reasons concerning the flesh and now I'm doing it concerning the spirit

I’m not sure encouraging fasting on Sunday is a good thing. We are meant to feast on Sundays like we do on Solemnities and Easter and Christmas. So to fast on a Sunday you are going directly against what they church has always taught. Traditional fasting is on a Wednesday and Friday

Yoga has its roots in Hinduism, hinduism has,it's,roots in kabbalah, google sefirot tree of life , and chakras of hinduism see how similar they are , kabbalah is the twisted inverted version of genesis where Lucifer is,the good guy because he showed man how to become God , and God tried to keep the secret from man so he is the bad guy, that's the simple version , so all the new age hinduism, you are God ,the same philosophy and ideology as satan , remember in isaha Lucifer wanted to be God and put his throne above God ,so all ideologies where,ypu are the centre is satanic. Something ironic I'll tell you, alot of Satanists don't believe in satan, but it doesn't matter as they subscribe to the same ideology.

Hinduism is polytheistic and has a multitude of Gods. Each pose in yoga is meant as an invocation of a pagan Hindu god. It is a pagan spiritual practice more than it is exercise. Do Pilates or Aquafit or something instead. Catholic meditations are not a problem, like lectio divina. But transcendental meditation is gnostic and opens you up to the voices of demons.

If you go to the ocean, there is often a sense of well being … that is because of the ionic exchange in the air occuring there… it is Gods creation … what you should be more concerned about is the Pharmokia sorcery you are probably allowing the school you hand your children over to coerce you to cooperate with that you won’t question until it’s too late

Exactly. These folks are fruit loops. Tarot, crystals, astrology, and benign divination/intuition manifestation (through tarot, pendulums, art, etc) isn't inherently dark. Yes, it can be used for dark purposes, so can Catholicism. But mainstream adoption of these practices is largely superficial. The esoteric archetypes are present in Catholicism as well... Prayer is an intuitive connection to the divine. Ouija boards are quite risky and should be avoided, but not bc it's demonic, it's rare to encounter ACTUAL demons, you're more likely to contact a human based malevolent energy or, more likely, a curious or unwilling human energy sucked into that ouija session's dimension... I dunno. But it's ridiculous to write off esoteric occultism entirely when the main objective, by most, is to connect with one's higher self, strengthen their connection with the divine light known as God.

People want power. The power the church needs is the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Jesus told His disciples including the blessed mother to not do a thing until they received the blessing of Pentecost. 120 souls were in the upper room on Pentecost when the the Holy Spirit fell upon them with the evidence of speaking in tongues. So if they who were taught and walked with Jesus Christ for 3 years needed the Charisma how much more do we need Holy Spirit power and presence today. This Pentecost was not just limited to the first century but continued down through the centuries in the lives of the saints.

Among the hundreds of bad things one of them has had both her father and husband struck by psychosis?! And then they just double down with more 'spiritual' work and 'healings'!

Many people have a giant God-shaped hole in their Heart and theyre looking for answers and acceptance: thats what the trend is all about. Most people have simply never read The Gospels: thats why they dont realise that they should love Jesus. Anyone who believes in charity, love, community, civil rights, and independence is the perfect kind of person for Jesus!

I like to use incense when I pray on occasion. I like to imagine the smoke takes my prayer up to God. Is that a superstition? I like the smell it reminds me of being at church as well but there’s nothing wrong with that.
@sftita
@sftita Жыл бұрын
Incense is used in masses and sold at the store located in our church, along with blessed candles and religious items. It's an FSSP parish. All masses in Latin; 6 on Sundays plus a Rosary at 6:30am before the 7am mass, all packed. People have to sit in the auditorium. Even the last-chance mass at 6pm, the least attended, have people in most *every* pew. No English or Spanish Novus Ordo masses offered. Tonight I accompanied a lapsed Catholic to Cathechism class. The Auditorium, former basketball court, was more than half full with new converts, their sponsors AND parishioners who want a refresher.

It is sad what was done in the name of "the spirit of V2" in the US. The V2 _aggiornamento_ of the Mass could have been implemented with reverence and solemnity, as it is very much in the continuum of the Latin rite. All they would have needed to do is to follow the Missale and there wouldn't have been such problems, I think. Ofc I'm just postulating in hindsight. The thing is, that's how it is around where I'm from, where the Church is only a small minority in a Post-Lurhetan country. The V2 was implemented but not by throwing out the Mass, as it seems to have been around the US according to ppl in KZbin comments. I've heard of tourists wondering "what is this odd language they use here [in addition of the vernacular]"; the _Kyrie, Gloria, Agnus Dei_ and _Pater Noster_ are often in Latin in the main liturgy here, as well as during the weekly Mass. In addition we have both Tridentine and Gregorian Mass celebrated at times, plus other rites. Ofc it's not just about the language, but the care in which the ritually rich Mass is said and sung here. V2 _aggiornamento_ actually works, well implemented. True implementation of V2 is still ongoing, Lord willing the fruit will be good in the US as well.

I am not catholic but agree with a lot being discussed here. A lot of christian churches don;t have the ritual of confession. Most people don't do confession out loud to someone in athority. I feel that is a recipe for searing the spirit so a person conscience does not feel sin. Can a non catholic go to confession with a catholic chrch?

You can go to confession anytime, very sanctifying and humbling experience! The priest will give you a blessing and prayer. The priest, however, woth spiritual authority can only give absolution for people inside not outside the Church.

@@jodyclark7527 tell the priest you'd like confession with a blessing / prayer not absolution. Imagine Jesus is in the room with you, mediates for us to the Almighty Father. Talk to Jesus in the room, in persona-christi. You might say "forgive me father for I've sinned, this is my first confession, and these are my sins." You do NOT need to give details. Just list them like "i gossiped, lied, etc." Writing on paper helps if you need help remembering, and you can trash the paper afterwards . It's amazing how accountability and fervent prayer will dramatically reduce these habitual sins.

You need to buy items like rosaries, candles and medals and take them to a Catholic priest, who will bless them for you. It only takes a few moments. They aren’t sold pre-blessed. You can also get holy water, blessed already, from your parish church.

i fell away from the church after high school, my aunt got my into some "soft" occultic practices, some a little harder but i only honestly cared about it because it seemed cool and if it was true it would give me some special power i guess. it was actually after i stopped caring about it, and before coming back to the church, that God allowed me to see it for what it is (by allowing, I think, the diabolical side of it to manifest as I was living with my aunt), and that was my initial reversion back to Catholicism, which after that initial moment was mostly intellectual.
