As a convert to the Catholic Church from the Mormon church, I lost a few friends, but I gained a family and a better life all around the second I was baptized when I was 13. It’s a decision I will never regret as it’s made my life better and legitimately saved my life.

@Asaph Vapor I will only say two things to you in response, as I am not a theologian, and have absolutely no answer to most of what you've said so I won't even try to refute them as it would be a waste of my time and energy. 1 - you say the Catholic Church has no basis in scripture. Which is funny, considering the core of every Mass celebrated is the Eucharist, which Jesus performed the first Eucharist after/during the last supper, in Matthew 26: 26-29 it says in the New Jerusalem Bible, which is the version I own: 'Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had said the blessing he broke it and gave it to the disciples. "Take it and eat," he said. "This is my body." Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he handed it to them saying, "Drink from this, all of you, for this is my blood, the blood of the covenant, poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins." Which are the words spoken to bless the wine and bread at every Catholic Mass. Mark 14: 22-25, and Luke 22: 19-20 are all other versions of the same Eucharistic scene. 2: you say the Catholic church says to drink the literal blood of Jesus, which we don't say, we're just quoting the words of Jesus, as Jesus just said in the scripture I just quoted, but John has something to say as well in John 6: 53-58 'Jesus replied to them: "In all truth I tell you, if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Anyone who does eat my flesh and drink my blood has eternal life, and I shall raise that person up on the last day. For my flesh is real food, and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me and I live in that person. As the living Father sent me and I draw life from the Father, so whoever eats me will also draw life from me. This is the bread which has come down from heaven; it is not like the bread our ancestors ate: they are dead, but anyone who eats this bread will live forever." Jesus himself said to eat His flesh and drink His blood. He didn't say to eat something that represented his flesh or drink something that represented his blood, he said point blank to eat His flesh and drink His blood. You can say Catholics aren't Christians all you want, but if that were true, why are we listening to Jesus, and nondenominational Christians aren't? I know for a fact I probably haven't convinced you of anything, and honestly that's your prerogative. But ask yourself this - as every cult has had a leader with a hidden agenda of wanting power and being seen as something amazing that can do no wrong - if the Catholic Church truly were a cult, what is there to gain from the persecutions we've received over the 2,000 years it's been around, from publicly revealing that Priests have hurt children sexually (which is just the tip of the ice burg of what's happened, as that only counts Priests and doesn't factor in what nuns have done), and from being tortured for being Catholic in other countries?

I was raised a Catholic, I studied in a Catholic School. I'm from a Catholic country, Philippines. Then, there came a time when a lot of different religions popped out and claiming that they're born again Christians. Trying to convert everybody. I was nearly convinced to their beliefs but because my family's often prayer of the rosary, they failed to convert me. I'm very grateful that the Blessed Mother did'nt allow them to take me away from her. I love Mama Mary. She brought me back to her Son, my Lord and Savior Jesus. Amen.🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤⚘💐

Well said! I’m publishing a weekly KZbin video on episodes from the life of Don Bosco, entitled ST JOHN BOSCO by JOE ZAMMIT. In this series I’m narrating events and miracles from the splendid life of Don Bosco. St John Bosco used to perform a miracle almost every day, through the intercession of Mary Help of Christians. From the lives of saints we can learn how to love God more and draw closer to him. Thank you...

As a recent convert, I found this so helpful. And so true! When I finally made my decision to go through RCIA and become Catholic, I finally felt like all the choices I had struggled with in the past were done and finished. I was home. Struggles like whether to choose Buddhism or Christianity, or Protestantism or Catholicism, or follow our families Anglican roots, or give up and go back to my atheist lifestyle, etc etc, were all choices that I could leave behind. I was in the one, universal Church that Christ established. Then to my shock and horror, it quickly became, "So what kind of Catholic are you??". I was like 'NOOOOO MORE CHOICES'. We're just Catholic. Let's just be Catholic. I'm not progressive or conservative. I'm Catholic. I'm not Republican or Democrat. I'm Catholic. I'm not a traditionalist or a liberal. I'm a Catholic. Let's just be Catholic!!

I was just baptized into the Catholic Church on 040321. It was nearly a six year process. Part of the delay was my two previous marriages and part was my husband's previous marriage, and part of it was Covid. It was terribly difficult to have this delay, but now, looking back, I believe that it was the best thing for me. Now, I have absolutely no doubt about my choice.

The same Church authority that later determined which of the over 75 letters written,,were to be included in the new testament and which were not. The same Church authority in Peter the rock and sole key holder, who stood up and put an end to all the debating at the council in Jerusalem, since Scripture alone could not. You are in my prayers! Keith: So you are one of the souls I pray for each day when I say my rosary! Thank you. At this point in my 73 year journey I need no one or nothing outside of me to “confirm” my faith. I know my Jesus. I KNOW Him. But it is delightful to see the fruits of the labor of the community of Christ. I have never understood why Protestants appear to think Catholics yet need to “claim Jesus as your personal Savior.” “They don’t know us,” I’d think. “We’ve been doing that for 2000 years.” Your good work, Keith, will be one of my rosary intentions from now on. And to the guy in the white shirt on the upper left: Hey, I’m that little ole lady with the rosary and, for your information, we’re changing the world. Keith is proof. Bless all of you.

I cried and laughed through this great episode. Tears because I was so moved by Keith's conversion and the courage it took for him to embrace Our Lord, even if it would cost all worldly goods. Laughter because as a cradle Catholic, I didn't realize that from an outsider's perspective, what we Catholics do can seem so very odd. Yet we do have abundant treasured. Loved the analogy to an overladen buffet. I am very grateful to my parents for giving me my Catholic faith. If not, I don't think I would ever have chosen Catholicism on my own because of what is required to be a disciple of Christ is too hard. You want me to do what? Pick up the cross and share in the ultimate sacrifice of Our Lord? Be willing to put everything on the line, even if it means martyrdom, to follow Christ? Keith, welcome home to the True Church, the only one Our Lord founded.

I heard someone said “being a Catholic is not easy, but it’s the easier way to go to heaven”. We have a lot of resources besides the Sacred Scriptures, the Catechism and of course the Sacraments, but also a lot of devotions, books, saints who inspires us, and now all these awesome channels for us to learn and grow in our faith. The more you learn about Jesus and his Church the more you want to learn, never ends. We’re so blessed to be Catholic.🙏

I'm sure you've heard that converts make the best Catholics. It's true, I think. I see this every day. As a cradle Catholic, it was converts, near converts, and especially an Eastern Orthodox who, as we had discussions, caused me to investigate my own faith. I am now actively Catholic (I guess a revert) and want to develop more. I have watched Keith Nestor, as well as Scott Hahn, Steve Ray, etc. Wonderful explanations for me. Thank you for a wonderful video.

Sometimes I think cradle Catholics who left and then returned (even after many years and struggles) make the best Catholics because they had a personal experience with God that overtakes/overwhelms them spiritually so they can let go of the hurts that the Church can sometimes do and/or the misunderstandings that happened! They know the Eucharist and it's meaning. Ad I write this: they can be called converts too!

My first time praying the rosary was a pray with me joyful rosary KZbin video because I'm so new and I had no clue what to do. I didn't even have beads. I just knew I needed to and I'm still in the process of actually going to mass and contacting a priest etc to even start to fully be catholic etc. I didn't even pray the full rosary all mysteries just prayed one. Yet it was life changing. I've been so honored to have been led to Christ in a way ive neber known as a baptist. It's been a wonderful journey so far though it's also not easy. I just feel so honored to have had my feet put on the right path. I adore this renewal.

Same, luckily I had decided to become Catholic because they certainly didn’t seem to care. Most of the people in the class were Catholics who for whatever reason had never been confirmed and were doing it to marry a confirmed Catholic so only half of them had theirs hearts in it. I was one of two converts( the other left after a couple of classes). It was hard to ask “Protestant” questions in a room full of Catholic lead by the deacons wife ( which really confused me).

Our blessed Mother has touched a lot of people. I have recently wantched a Filipino evangelical pastor who had been taking part in smashing statues of saints and Mary. The Catholic Church is a Rich Feast like Keith Nestor says. There is so much. I have a Devotion to Saint Anthony and St Francis I think because these saints were the first Saints who's Intercession I asked for. My Conversion was very long around 20 years In which I went to Mass prayed the Rosary, learned all the Mass Prayers, Read the Bible but didnt seek confirmation . I didnt take the Sacrements due to being been baptised Anglican as a Child. I had gone to an Anglican School Prayed, Sang Hymns and had a love of Our Lord but we hardly attended a Church. I later came te realisisation that the Catholic Church had the answers to my Spiritual needs and I thirsted for Confession, The Eucharist and the Sacrements. Please understand it took me so long because I had many personal issues and was not a regular Mass Attender until 4 years ago . From the point of Spiritual Testimony of So Many People who attest to the Catholic Church there is absolutely no Reason not be Catholic or not to Join the Church. As it turned out my Knowledge of Catholic Prayer, Mass, The Catholic Bible and my Baptism meant I could go to Confirmation quickly. I really didnt realise I was there with the Faith Already. For those thinking of becoming Catholics from Anglican there is The Catholic Charismatic Renewal with Similar Events to Evangelical Churches with Lively Christian Music, Lay Brother and Sisters, Eucharistic Adoration, Charisms, Words of Knowledge, Healing Services, Prayer Mininistry etc. We have High and Low Mass which depends on the Catholic Church, Some Have lively Modern Choirs, Many Prayer Groups, Bible Study Groups, Rosary Groups, Traditional Hynms and Choirs, Youth Ministrys, Out Reach Street Chaplains, Marys Meals, Clothing Groups for Babies, Food Banks for the Poor. Trad Latin Vespers and Trad Mass. All kinds of Ministries and Orders who have many areas of Spirituality and Many Workshops and Retreats, for Catholics we have Pilgrimages to Many Holy Sites in Many Countries. Its a Rich Feast in the Catholic Church and we treat each other as a Family like the Holy Family

Really looking at Catholic faith from being a "none" but man, I do have trouble (I still wince) when I hear the part about "eating flesh and blood." I mean on a mystical level I'm coming to understand and even appreciate the intimacy and depth of it, but still just hearing it is so mid evil weird to me, but my mind is opening... BTW, I've come to be interested in the Catholic church by remembering a very kind teacher who was helpful to me at a teenager, and going to his family's Christmas midnight mass. Always thought it was beautiful. Then I went to Rome and fell in love with St. Peter's Basilica and "The Pieta" (Mary holding Jesus) moved me to tears. Have gone to Christmas midnight mass a few times here in the U.S. and always enjoyed it. But the thing that really inspired me and found me down the Catholic KZbin rabbit hole about a year ago, was rediscovering the original soundtrack (before it was a movie and stage play) of Jesus Christ Superstar! Yes, I have heard that this "rock opera" offended some Christians, but for some reason as an adult it really spoke to me. There was a story, and characters and passion. I had only known about the life of Jesus on the most superficial level. My mother always said she never believed in the divinity of Jesus, and I never went to Sunday school. I'm a real live heathen! Anyways... enough about that, I'm enjoying the podcast, but yeah, there are still certain things that make me go "WHAT?" Learning.

Enjoyed the conversion experience and discussions. Yes, cautioning RCIA is a good point. Much has been watered down since Vat II. Some RCIA laypersons really dont have good knowledge or proper training according to the Catechism. I TOTALLY agree with using the Baltimore Catechism. Here's a PDF link. It's very basic and easy and then will get deeper as you go. If you don't understand a word, search on internet, but be sure to state "Catholic meaning of usury", or "Catholic meaning of pride", etc, so the definitions remain scriptural. Also, be aware of which links you click on: who it is and background as far as sound Catholicism or rogue laypersons, orgs, or priests, bishops. Satan is really attacking the Church with heresy and you do need to find conservative-type people to get the correct answers. Some new Catholics or converts may not have had good catechesis and still have Protestant type ideas or beliefs stuck in there head. I was raised Catholic, attended Catholic school 1-8. I did not receive good Catechism at all and did not make Confirmation with my class, which was probably unheard of back in '83. But it was post Vat II and much changed the Church, which was not supposed to occur: lack of Gregorian chant, Holy Eucharist on the tongue, "Eucharistic ministers", not kneeling at the Sanctus and Agnus Dei, not retaining Latin in the Mass, which was only allowed in certain situations, NOT being the RULE, but the EXCEPTION, many modern churches devoid of the statues, sacred art, stained glass windows, organs, communion rail, etc. It took the awe, beauty, and sacredness out most Churches. There was more of a comeback with Pope Benedict's moto proprio, if I remember that correctly, on the Eucharistic liturgy of Latin Masses. You don't have to go to a Traditional Latin Mass; however, it has been around for centuries as the sole rite, until Vat II. Personally, it (Vat II) caused confusion which led to division in the Church. That's a deeper story, and why we have to fight for our true Church. SO, if you attend what we call Novus Ordo Mass, it's still valid and can still be beautiful, as long as the priest follows the formulas and stays faithful to the Creed. A good indication is a priest who faces East (ad orientum), away from the people and toward Jerusalem. That really helps with the prayerfulness of the Mass. I attend both. If I had a TLM near me, I'd go regularly there, but there are 4 of them that are an hour or more away, and sometimes not convenient, especially if I'm helping my parents out of town on weekends. The thing about the Catholic Churches, that if they are inline with Church teaching, it doesn't matter if the priest gives a boring or mediocre homily, or if there's 6-10 Eucharistic ministers crowding the altar, distracting one from the Eucharist, which should be the only focus, you can block out everything (it takes soulful practice and interior mental practice to do this) so, that nothing bothers you during the Mass, especially the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. A suggestion also, to dive more soulfully into the Mass, is to do what was taken away: kneel at the Sanctus (Holy, Holy, Lord...), stand when the people stand again, and after the priest says "Peace be with you" and congregation responds "and with your spirit", kneel and stay in prayer. That is when everyone does the Sign of Peace which was thrown in after Vat II, that wasn't supposed to. Certain persons who rose into higher places, were trying to Protestantize the Church. If you notice, a the part I just mentioned, kneeling at the Agnus Dei (Lamb of God you take away the sins...), that the peace breaks up the WORSHIP of God and places the focus on greeting each other. "Lord, forgive them for they know not what they do." Then you hear AGAIN, a bunch of pews slamming down in the church. SO, distracting from the GOD of the Holy Sacrifice. I wish more priests, post-Vat II realized it. it's really Satan who is trying to take the sacredness and worship and adoration away from God. I'm surprised more don't realize it. I came back to the Church in '95. Moved to a new area (outskirts of a metropolitan area), I was practicing Baptist at the time (3 yrs; jumping around, searching for truth). I looked in the local phone book and there were pages of Baptist Churches, all different. You never know what you were going to get. I would be attending by myself. I felt a bit overwhelmed. Then the "though" came to me, maybe I'll just go up past town to the Catholic. I grabbed a bulletin that was on the pew. First thing I saw was "Everything You Wanted to Know About Catholicism". I thought, "I wonder if this could give me answers I never had as a kid". So, I attended that Thursday. It was taught by a woman who had her Master of Theology from the University of Steubenville, in Ohio. I had no idea that meant anything at the time. The first class I was blown away as it set theology at pre-creation and continued on. The class met every Thursday for almost 2 yrs, except summer. IT WAS AMAZING!!! i wished everyone had that experience. If I was smart enough, I'd go around and teach it. I was ALL IN an dON FIRE after the first two-three classes. Now, in 2021, it's been a journey. God has blessed me more than I could ask for. Not with finances, surely not with an easy life, but a group of friends who are true Christians. My parents came back to the Church, then my brother, and his wife converted and they raised their kids in the faith, my aunt and her family, my uncle and his family (still working on her husband and mine, as well as my oldest, because, I was married before (annulled) and he went to live with his dad for HS, so he fell away), many friends and friend's family members. Still more to go, but everyone's journey is different. PRAY them into the Church by the Blood of Jesus and HIs promise to answer when we ask in His name and TRULY believe it-that's the faith that moves mountains. Know the beauty and faith of our Church and share it where/when you can if the Holy Spirit inspires you (don't ever force and don't get in battles, just become quiet, say okay, and change the conversation) then let them mull on it. Sorry so long. Guess I was inspired....

@@godsgirl0019 It went perfectly!! Now, our two sons have been confirmed and our daughter had her first communion this year!!! It feels like it was so much longer ago than almost two years 😔 The wonderful priest from India who was the major influence on us had to return to India the spring of 2022. It sure hasn't been the same without him😔 We love all of the priests, but he was amazing!

Oh my gosh I started crying when he said the Lord said to him “I am the way”. That hit me so hard I don’t have words to describe it. My gosh, this program was so good. The gentleman who spoke about Psalm 119 and the way he spoke about it. How the Lord lights are foot for our path. I really enjoyed this. I pray one day that I can make it with my daughter, whom by the way converted to be a Mormon!!! to Medjugorje. I ask for many prayers for her to come back home, as to what was she was baptized as, a Catholic. God Bless✝️🙏📿
