Hi Emi! I’m also a patreon member for a long while now. Ive made many of your recipes from your book and your patch is sewn on my bag. I follow you because you give me hope in overcoming some of my own anxiety. I use to not be able to leave my house out of fear but for the past year about 2x a month I now will go to the store on my own. I couldn’t even drive myself but started that just by driving in my neighborhood. I follow a lot of van lifer but only look for your uploads because i know you are a true person not doing this for likes or money. I feel you really want to inspire people to live life and so I hold onto that. Hi Emi, you need to get you a heavy folding Mylar car windshield cove to place between your head and the vans doors. When it's cold in the spring and fall my husband and I placed one between our heads and the tent wall. Really helps. My Sweet hubby passed away on May 31, 2023. I did go tent camping a few nights before our favorite campground camp host left. It was hard but was so needed. .I can't wait for Spring. Be safe!

The common merganser duck is so beautiful. That sea otter sure liked being in front of the camera. Your adrenaline kept you warm 🤗📸😊 down fall your extremities don't receive the same message. Solidarity, Emi! It's noon in Tennessee and we are 16 degrees F (-9 C) in a rare cold spell. About 5 inches of snow falling and expecting about 8. Will go for a walk when the temp climbs over 20 F. It's supposed to get down to 3 degrees F overnight Tuesday (-16 C)..Brrrrr! I always enjoy your mostly cozy posts. You and Kelly stay safe, warm and well in your own upcoming storm. How cool on the otter!!! You got some great shots to share. If you ever have a place for more art, one pulled from the otter video today would be amazing.

It's wonderful to see you have some nice warm blankets. I have a blanket, I'm a handweaver, I actually wove it. It is wool and it has been around many of my pets. It has the good vibe. I put it on my bed at night and it's like magic, my cats and dogs love it. I always wonder if they can sense it is "pet friendly"? When I think of all the dogs and cats I have had that have enjoyed it, it is a lot.

I work in a nature preserve along a small river and in 16 years I’ve only seen a river otter twice! SO exciting! I love how curious they seem. ❤️

River otters are my favorite mustelids, but I love all the mustelids, adorable little vicious carnivores. They remind me of bears or ravens in how they play so much. Did you notice that at the end, we could see Kelly's shadow on your jacket?

I saw another person use flattened cardboard boxes to block the cold air coming in from the doors. I think otters and chickadees are the only creatures that enjoy a Canadian winter. Chickadees are always singing in a snowstorm, and otters like to slide on the ice. My dog and I were once approached by an otter wanting to play. Scared me to death.

I turned off my heaters and just had main heat on in the night while sleeping. Main heating sucks and this place isnt insulated well. I was cosy in my blankies. I dont like heat at night. Today I learned that I cant do that because now my pipes are frozen to my shower. Hope they dont burst. Im trying to heat the room so they thaw out. Hope they do. warm wishes.

Wow - from nothing while you were filming to a snow storm and back into sunshine and blue skies. Stay warm - we are getting that bitter Artic cold front here in States - this morning it was 3 with feeling like -7 degrees in SW Ohio - rest of this week is predicted to be as cold - we've had some snow with it also - yesterday was sunny but windy but today overcast part of day not as windy. That's why I love the mountains. lol I live in the foothills and it's always bizarre to to literally travel less than 5 miles out and not see any snow while we got dumped on, still not as much as further up the mountain.

There is a river otter in Lafarge lake....which is not a real lake. It's the oddest place to find an otter. Most of us have no idea how he got there since it's a man made lake in the middle of suburban neighborhoods. He likes to eat all the fish they stock the lake with every summer for local fishing. He's adorable. We also have a couple beaver's. Really wild for a tiny man made lake.
