Amaury is truly amazing, but you shouldn’t minimize Philip’s contribution. He’s the most amazing individual. I’ve been watching these again in a binge and it truly comes clear that you are very generous with your compliments. However, you shouldn’t diminish or ignore Philip’s contribution. He’s truly an apparent blessing.

You can tell Kirsty is a true gardener in that she compliments the quality of the soil straight away- who cares that it's 6 dump trucks full- "It's NICE soil. I'll be stealing some for the garden." Stephanie, you made a brilliant decision in hiring Kirsty full-time to tend the gardens and oversee the animals; she is not only qualified, she is a hard worker- focused and diligent, and always pleasant. I think if you gave her the keys to the digger, she would have that soil placed beautifully and in no time. Also, Philip may be wiry/sinewy, he is strong- lets hear it for the guys. Even more, he is so artistic. He quickly had a plan for all that furniture in functional yet beautiful settings. Also, I love how Philip treats the women at the chateau as true equals- capable, strong and smart. You got a great partner there, Stephanie.

The Easter flowers are just stunningly beautiful especially that bouquet you showed beneath the painting. It looked almost like an exact copy of the painting. I am so excited to see the new gardens take shape and all of the work happening to the chateau itself. It's also so good to see familiar faces coming back for family celebrations. We all needed this so desperately after the hard times of lockdown. I know we still have to be careful of the virus but we also need family and love.

Stephanie, so very true about time. When I was a preteen I would frequently say "I can't wait to be 13". Then at 13, I would frequently say "I can't wait to be 16". At 16, I would frequently say "I can't wait to be 18". And at that point, my mom in her infinite wisdom frustrated from the years of hearing me rant about wanting to be older said to me "Risa Marie!! QUIT Wishing your life away"!!! How wise those words were. It made me realize a lot in that moment. Including that if I was getting older, I was also inadvertently Wishing for all those I loved and cared about to be older. It was then I realized that someday I parents would be old and probably passed on. And sadly, I ended up losing both of my parents at relatively young ages. My dad passed at just 55. Then my mom at just 60. So, I'm very thankful that I started to appreciate the "now" much more. Also focusing on the fact that one's life unfolds in God's timing and not our own. So stop daily to "smell the flowers" and embrace & enjoy our moments in the now.

Stephanie, an idea for those beautiful cards? Find a glass or perspex small box with a lid that comes off easily (where its totally transparent), or an ornate glass box. Put the cards in and put it somewhere like a coffee table or sideboard. That way when people are sitting having a drink, they will catch someone's eye, they will open it and get the pleasure of the cards beauty as they look through them. I use it for family photos, that way they are not shut away in an album and maybe never looked at?
@teresacarle2942 жыл бұрын
😉Yes, glass trinket boxes would be wonderful for these beautiful cards. 💖Ephemera can also be attractively displayed under a glass cloche. Create clever vignettes with different layers & levels, using other small vintage boxes or books as a base for open cards that can stand alone. 😃Also saw where folks have used a clear on-the-rocks size drinking glass inside a wider glass cylinder vase. Both are placed upside down on top of the other. (You can do the same with drinking glasses & shot glasses or bud vases too.) 🌹This glass vessel stacking creates a way for small cards & postcards to stand so they can be fully enjoyed. This set-up would rest atop a pretty plate or platter on a shelf or sideboard. It protects the cards, & works for vintage photos too. 💐Would make for fun seasonal display. 💚 Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
