Yes, it can store several hundred moves that can be retrieved later when it's connected to a computer. It does need a power source at least though so it would need to be plugged into a wall and be powered on.

Chess House Is that because this is USB vs the WiFi models?
@ChessHouse6 жыл бұрын
This SmartBoard has a smart dynamic scanning software which scans the differences in a board instead of scanning the whole board each time. It's faster than the regular eboards but that technology will eventually come to the eboards too. Power use of a USB board is around 50-60mA. The Smart Board is only 2 to 3mA. In both cases this will eventually become part of the main eboard line.
@jackslater86886 жыл бұрын

I would advise that DGT use Izmet Fekale's BCE chessmens. Those chessmens, are the most beautiful and serve as fusion between art and engineering for DGT's products raising to the next level. Just like what Apple did. The RPI concept is difficult to sell because the middle class already has Android stockfish, and they are hard to convinced. On the other hand, the few chess die hards could not resist the BCE chessmens and will surely buy. DGT, go back to the drawing board and think about it.

Why this Board has no leds. İt is not comfortabel without
@ChessHouse5 жыл бұрын
That's a fair question. Without a doubt LED's on the square would help clarity when playing this board as a computer. The fact is though, the DGT board has an equally important role as a tournament board in major events, even the world championships and this would be distracting. So at it's core, the DGT board has been designed without any on board elements that would take away from it's suitability as a tournament board. Instead it relies on two things - display and/or audio from a device or PC in close proximity.
@123meteyuecel5 жыл бұрын
@@ChessHouse yes I know. But they could create another Board. So the difference between this Boards is for eveyone to see.
