All this player movement and trade speculation to deliberately tank the franchise for 3 YEARS to retain one FRP doesn't make sense to me from an organizational POV. It's a sunk-cost fallacy that harms player development, team culture/chemistry, and the quality of the product for fans all while torpedoing ticket sales.
