The bears will be the punching bag of the NFC North for years to come looking at the powerhouse teams in that division. Jacksonville is in a very weak division. Winning nine or ten games gets you the division and when you can count on 4 to 6 wins from your weak division rivals, it makes that much easier. That has to be enticing to a new head coach.

They have made it very clear, they have no desire to sell the team. And why would they? NFL teams print money, no matter how bad they are. They would lose money in the long run selling the team seeing how much money they make from TV and streaming rights. Owners have to be forced out by the other owners. They'll never willingly sell.

His next go around with them he was run out of the league by Goodell before he was able to turn them around. He might actually be the right fit for the Bears- innovative offensive mind that also understands the importance of the running game, as well as the importance of controlling the line of scrimmage on both sides. He's an intense guy who is high on discipline and accountability. And he's worked with multiple QBs who have been successful.

Ben Johnson is a flake. Saw that last year during the interview process. He may be a good coordinator but he has not given any indication he is head coach material. It’s easy to be a good coordinator when your team is loaded with talent. Also you don’t let a flake dictate the direction of your franchise. This guy didn’t like that Josh Harris and Adam Peters (Washington owner and gm) had a thorough interview process. He could not hack it so he missed out on working with a great owner and arguably the gm of the year because he could not deal with the interview process. This guy wants the easy rubber stamp job. Why in the world would Vrabs want to coach that team let alone over other options. They have zero pathway towards a good QB. Rodgers is washed and they wont pick early enough. Owner is awful. Only way Vrabs chooses them is if he practices self harm.
