You know you have a good album when literally every song on it is beautiful! I bet I burned this cd up 3 times from listening to it so often with my best friend in highschool. This was technically considered a b side song and it was one of my favorites.

Have loved this song for so long, their version just hits different. And even though it's a breakup song, it brings me to tears because my grandma passed in July a couple days before her birthday. She was my rock and it kills me that she's gone.

Love this man, I'm a product of the late 90s, my mom was an indy music person, but she always loved the chicks, opened up such a door for me to love some country music..lost her I. July, few days before my birthday in 2016, I play this song to remember her, such a solid tune. I remember being parked in our driveway listening to this album. Beauty of art is you feel emotions that the creator never even thought of. I hope you find peace 🕊️

The moon is full but my arms are empty All night long how I've pleaded and cried You always said the day that you would leave me Would be a cold day in July Your bags are packed and not a word is spoken Guess we said everything with goodbye Time moves so slow when promises get broken On this cold day in July Sun's comin' up, comin' up down on Main Street Children shout as they're running out to play Head in my hands here I am standing in my bare feet Watching you drive away Watching you drive away You said that we were gonna last forever You said our love would never die Looks like spring and feels like sunny weather But it's a cold day in July Oh, sun's comin' up, comin' up down on Main Street Children shout as they're running out to play Oh oh, head in my hands here I am standing in my bare feet Watching you drive away Watching you drive away The moon is full but my arms are empty All night long how I've pleaded and cried You always said the day that you would leave me Would be a cold day in July Here comes that cold day in July

@@karyng4448 @danielhaines3940 actually, I am correct. The term "Dixie" refers to the Dixie South. If you didn't know, that's the term used for the Confederacy in the civil war. Basically, people who supported slavery. The Chicks changed their name because they didn't want their band to be associated to racism and slavery. Do your research

Their music meant so much to me in my 20’s.. going through an abusive divorce and then later trying to navigate the dating scene. I feel like when they changed their name they cared more about their SJW bullshit than their fans. I find it hard to believe that changing their name did anything. I mean they got rid of Dixie but kept chicks?? They should have just owned it, no one thought they were racist. If they always had this belief then why did they call themselves The Dixie Chicks in the first place and make most their music/money under that name if it was so bad?
