‘The Chosen’ Cast & Creator Talk About How The Set Feels Like A Sacred Space | 11th K-LOVE Awards

Dallas Jenkins, creator/director/co-writer of ‘The Chosen,’ appeared backstage at the 11th Annual K-LOVE Fan Awards pressroom alongside actors Jonathan Roumie and Elizabeth Tabish and talked about how the show’s set has come to feel like a sacred space for them amidst the pressures of the secular world. They reflected on how many in the cast and crew were at personal low points when they joined the show and surrendered to Christ. And finally, they explained how the show is deeply rooted in Judaism.

Liz talking about Mary's "happy ending" gave me chills because I was reading the Easter story recently, all 4 accounts in the New Testament, and was reminded of how Mary has some pivotal moments we all get to look forward too in upcoming seasons! Some huge lows and then highs. Wow.

Congratulations! 🎉🎊 🏆 What a great way for us to tell you how much this show means to us! I’m so over the moon about it, but we fans got taken for a ride by TBN. You honors were not only RECORDED, but not shown to us till the last few minutes of their broadcast. I’m sure the majority of tv viewers were Chosen fans! I waited all day, rushed home to get dinner, do laundry and a couple of other things so I would be free to watch, praying that you would both win! And you did! But sitting through music that was 10% remarkable and 90% repetative and excruciating was awful and I wanted to turn it off but they hadn’t yet spoken about movies or TV. It was awful. And when it said AWARDED EARLIER I just flipped out. Oh well. I won’t fall for it again. I’ll vote and then just wait for KZbin.
