My favourite ever...Reaches my soul, makes me regret all the things I haven't shared with my dad, all the things we couldn't talk about although he was at home every day. And now he's gone...Fortunately, by the will of our Almighty God my father will be raised from the dead, as many will be, and we will share eternity on this beautiful planet Earth restored into paradise. This is the promise of the true God Jehovah Who cannot lie, and I long for that moment so much.

This summed up my years after mum died leaving dad to cope by himself. Giving everything and expecting nothing back but the right to live in peace. He passed last year leaving us to suffer these times. I miss his conversation his cooking his views of the world.
@lizcilliers4 жыл бұрын
I resonate so much with your comment, Leo. Dad gave his all, even after mom died died, right to his dying day. He held on for his children, and I had to say " it's okay dad, we'll be alright. Go and rest from all your pain and suffering through the years". He died that night and I felt so alone and lost. Ten years later I still cry, and think of everyone who has lost a parent or a child. We don't get over things, we get through them, sometimes a day at time. Music like this brings back memories, tears and peace somehow.
@leolopez85444 жыл бұрын
@@lizcilliers thanks Liz X it's not a song I go back to often but sometimes when I think of him it just hurts. About a week before he died I heard his voice call my name in my house. By the time I got to the care home he was awake but gone like his spirit had left already and there was just a silent man laid there. Couldn't talk to him he wasn't registering.
@lizcilliers4 жыл бұрын
@@leolopez8544 There is so much hurt and remorse around losing a parent and we feel like we failed them when we just couldn't get to them before they passed away. I have realized through the years that we need to find a way to forgive ourselves for all we just couldn't do, no matter how hard we tried. It is not easy and again I say, we don't get over things like the death of a loved one, we get through them. My thoughts are with you.

Tantos sentimientos encontrados...

I love this song. A few years ago when me dad died, every night for the next few days I would put me headphones on and play it on loop and cry myself to sleep. That video by the way looks bonkers. It looks like the image stabilization is doing its job but the final edit hasn't been cropped and resized to hide all the moving edges (very simple to fix). It might have worked on a CRT TV screen, but is obvious on modern full screen players.
