I come back & watch this every once in awhile, just to keep the old memories bright!! I never knew Jr. personally but met him a few times. We were all fans of him going back to the Elephant Run days he crooned to all w/ Loralie (sp?) by his side......they were quite a show around '78-'79! I remember well how down right handsome he was, and later on. I hope you're making lots of music again w/ Leon & the gang up there Mr. Markham.

Jimmy was a very gracious genuine person and played a Smokin harp!

No kidding! He was such a kind and fun person. Learning so much about Leon through the lens of his life was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Jimmy was wonderful! We worked closely on Leon's birthday celebration at Cain's Ballroom and up until his death; he was planning the next one. :-(

I miss Jimmy a lot, he used to ask me if I brought a keyboard every time I went to see him (I always did). I never wanted to ask him about the song but Chuck Blackwell told me a little creative license was used in the telling. ;)

He reminds of Jim Karstein so much the way they speak! The Tulsa vibe is so interesting, and it probably has been discussed but what I am interested in is the story behind the song “Shootout on the Plantation” which Jim Karstein talked about.

I had to wait this long to find all this about Leon. Saw Mad Dogs, Who is this guy with the hat? I am 69 years old now. Some times it so slow but now I see. Thanks

I laughed at the note in the bio about Jimmy going into clubs underage because with the help of a fake ID George Bingham helped me make I would get in to Jimmy's Paradise Club when I was a teenager. I got to see Albert Collins, Elvin Bishop, Son Seals and Gatemouth Brown among others. I remember very well a night the Gate was playing and Willie Nelson showed up about 2am to sit in. Good times!!
