Following an intimate performance for the Legacy Concert Series in The Church Studio's Live Room to an audience of only 100, Teresa Knox had the opportunity to sit down with Kenny Loggins to discuss how he felt about the performance, Leon's Russell's significance, and his connection with the highly-engaged Tulsa, Oklahoma audience.
Kenny Loggins, Grammy-Award-winning singer, songwriter, and guitarist, delighted the audience with a wonderful setlist of some of his biggest hits including the first-ever acoustic performance of “Danger Zone.” Other songs in the setlist included “The Real Thing,” “I’m Alright,” “Celebrate Me Home,” and a Beatles medley.

Kenny Loggins is a person who has learned to be comfortable with his own emotions...he writes for himself, and shares it with us... this makes him uncommonly special...I just adore him.

Right before "Sittin' In" came out (a friend had a pre-release radio station copy), L&M played at The Golden Bear in Huntington Beach, CA. We were so close to the stage, I could've reached over and untied Kenny Loggins' shoes. (I resisted that thought.) I will probably never get to see them in that "close in" a setting again. But that concert (along with a "Deliverin'"-era Poco set at The Troubadour) is a singular great memory.

Thanks for sharing these Legends interviews so those of us who live too far away to attend in person can get a taste of the magic you all in Tulsa get to appreciate! Sounds like Kenny has the understanding of Leon’s place in music history….one might say he is a Lifer!
