This is how you develop the relationship between your kids. My mother was just like you. And none of us have a good relationship. We never bonded as kids. We only saw each other as competition for mom’s attention because she never included us.

Everything about this is adorable. My oldest was like this with her brothers but especially our youngest since they are 6 years apart. She often would put him to sleep for naps and play with him while I got some stuff done. She is her hero and they are best of friends today. You have an amazing little nurturer there. She has seen it modeled well.

When my daughter was born, I had her on my bed and she started to cry. I was in the kitchen but very close to my bed room. My three yr old decided he would bring her to me. So he pulled her to the edge and held her around the waist and was walking to me. Her head and legs were dangling. When I saw him, I had to stay very calm and rescue her without scaring him. Of course I had a good talk with him about not ever picking her up again. I will never forget that because I just about had a heart attack over it. My granddaughter basically did the same thing with her little brother but she was 5 and she held him correctly but she was walking down a wooden staircase. We stopped her on the first landing and rescued him. Ironically, this was my daughter’s children this time. 😂

I have 14 brothers n sisters 10 boys n 3 over sisters I am tge youngest girl the furthest apart are me n my sister before me n were 4yrs apart me n my brother under me we are irish twins were the same for 5 months out of the yr right now I am 51 n he will b 51 in 10 days . Then about the twin are gonna well they would b 48 n then the two youngest r urish twins also they are the same right now there both 46 they are a one year n 4 months apart my parents kept them close well my dad was irish n my was Italian
