I love aquariums where the plants grow above the water’s surface. I like thinking outside the box. These types of aquariums look very natural and are easy to maintain. The emerging plants help remove excess nutrients from the water, keeping the aquarium algae-free. I’ve built a small 28-liter aquarium like this, housing shrimp and nano fish. I also demonstrate a gluing technique that’s very sturdy. What do you think, do you like it?

Is Glueing the wood to the glass with superglue actually better than silicon?? In case you want to reuse the same tank??
@meekofox1878Ай бұрын
I love this setting but I hate to find dead shrimps next to the tank since they jump.

@@aimanmc4891 I would also like to know that.

Its perfect. I recommend some limnobium laevigatum. The roots look great and the rasboras love some plants on the surface to feel safe. Great work!

Love the videos! In the future, be careful of using the CA glue and pads combo directly on the glass, the glass can shatter from the sudden heat increase from the chemical reaction!

This is beautiful man. I love simplicity. My favourite style these days, but can you please shhare with us how you take care of the Pinnatifida over time. I always manage to get great results in the first 9 months. After that it grows so much that it reaches the light source and after, it starts to go out. I tried different approaches- when trim it has issue and get ugly, when I leave it -grows so big that eventually gets ugly and dies out. So beautiful plant and I love it for open aquarium like yours, but honestly I have a very hard relationship with Pinnatifidas. I welcome every advice on this…

I did a regular 10g tank with a similar scape for a new honey gourami & ember tetra combo. My 9g long is also loaded with shrimp, some rummynose rasbora (temporary holding) & some CPDs. It's been going for nearly a year & is completely overgrown, with just an airstone for aeration. I'm waiting on my stand to be completed so I can get to work on a 75g project that those rummynoses (+ extra later) are going into, along with the adult plants in the 9g. That'll make way for a complete rescape of the 9g shrimp tank.
