I am so excited to do this brand comparison between Kosas and Ilia! This was a fun video to film and test for. Ilia and Kosas are brands that are compared a lot and they have a lot of the same product categories. It was interesting to see which brand I prefer for certain products and not for others. I prefer Ilia’s aesthetic because it’s more cohesive and looks luxury. I love their mascara and multi stick. I think I prefer Kosas overall because their concealer is the only one I reach for, the brow gel is great and the tinted face oil works well on my combination skin.

I recently discovered your channel and I love your videos! Some friendly feedback - I listen to most youtube videos and I don’t always look at the screen (I like to multitask so Ill listen to a video while I clean or fold laundry). So when you say “this one” and “this one” I don’t know which product you are talking about unless I look at the screen. Even then, I didn’t know what the packaging for each product looked like so I wasn’t always sure which brand you were referring to with your commentary. I noticed this on a lot of your videos. But I am still listening :) I think you are doing a great job! Just sharing some friendly feedback!

I’ve experienced so much hit and miss with kosas, I struggle to trust their launches because certain things were so bad I was shocked that they passed to getting released. (Tinted oil, mascara, concealer, (color range is pretty finicky), goopy blushes) On the other hand, ilia feels much less trendy in the products and textures they release, but they are solid and classic. So many of my ride or die products are from ilia! Love their mascara, skin tint, eyeliners and moisturizing lip products. Great video!

I have now switched all my skincare and makeup to all Clean products and I'm so excited as I had wanted and needed to do that for a long long time. Very grateful for your channel and how passionate you are about the subject. Kosas has so far really impressed me, their products do what they say, I love their cool girl packaging and very impressed by the range of their shades. The industry is finally starting to wake up and I'm so here for it!! All those toxic chemicals that have been pouring into our everyday products are very very scary to me. I am still looking for a dark mauve powder blush and a matte liquid foundation. If you read this, do let me know your recommendations!
