@@domusdiana9379 Thanks for the reply. I like the look of the Garcia - very safe and solid. I also like the new Halberg Rassey 50 for my lottery boat. I also had questions about the Swan for blue water, but it does look like fun to sail in nice conditions (coming from a racing background). It all comes down to your sailing program I guess.

@@johndaniellebateman I was lucky to travel on the Garcia and really liked the quality of the boat. You are right about choosing the boat for your needs / wants. The Swan will win a race against both the Garcia and the Sirius and it clearly is the most beautiful of the three. But I want to travel to Spitzbergen and other remote places, where the Garcia would be the best choice. I don't like the look of the master cabin of the HR 50. Seems to be a waste of space.

Iv found those fridges a pain in a ssea way , Not so bad for & arft but to open from the side on aheel can be a bit dangerous & damn hard when the boats rolling .Nice quality as all ways from Swan .

Re the comment below on accent, not a problem to understand ( I'm american) but I could not hear over the blaring music. Also, is this only a racing/day sailer? Not a boat I would take cruising given the helm position just seems so uncomfortable for the helmsman on watch.

As always,beautiful boat ......however......how do you sleep on the owner’s bed when heeling? Lee cloths???? I don’t agree with his comments that the cockpit is comfortable or well protected, it looks far from it. I Delivered a 66 transatlantic, sails very well of course , but pretty uncomfortable on deck in bad weather . Lack of hand holds around the steering cockpit and lack of protection from the weather. Good Day Boat ,regatta boat, but probably not the best choice for blue water cruising. Pity cos they are very well built!

I agree, i have done some bluewater cruising with some friends on a swan and i have to say that is goes pretty fast under sail and it is easy ti handle shorthanded and the interior is very good looking and comfortable, but after i spent a night on watch with 20+ knots i was pretty disappointed, water from spray and waves can easily enter the cockpit from the sides and even with the sprayhood the helmsman position in not protected at all

Normally I find European accented English engaging and pretty easy to understand and it is baffling how and why this host sounds like an endless dull drone and incomprehensible and the stupid ass background music doesn't help. This video would have been much better served in complete silence.

60-70% of the Finnish population speaks English, and as THE sales manager of the Finland yard, he is quite literally the definition of “a professional sales person from an English speaking country”, you muppet. I’m American and had no problems understanding.

It's really designed for med cruising. You could probably cross oceans with it but I can't imagine it would be particularly pleasant offshore in a gale with a really big swell
