The moment Korra saw the kids flying towards her and cried was absolutely relatable and touching as hell. I felt her so much. It is that feeling when you realise that hope hasn't abandoned you, neither your people have. It was the first time after so much time that she finally felt courage and light.❤🙏 Not all of us get to experience those moments, when happiness and hope feel earned! The reason why she saw herself again when she fought Zaheer is because the poison was only part of the issue. Her mental and physical state as you can see still hasn't healed which is realistic because one thing isn't gonna suddenly make her trauma go away. I mean it’s pretty clear insane devotion can be a product of either love or obsession. I don’t blame her for changing sides. If they both truly love each other; it’s a pretty toxic relationship. I guess my analysis was based on a healthier perspective so you’re probably right based on how rushed some of this season is.

Hardships don't really make you stronger - overcoming hardships do ... people always forget that part of it, without the overcoming, it doesn't get you stronger.
@thecocoacouch3 ай бұрын
I don’t think people forget that part. I think they just assume everyone knows that they mean overcoming hardships. The distinction is important though just in case some people believe creating problems in their life without overcoming them is actually a good thing 😆😆
@felixhenson99263 ай бұрын
@@thecocoacouch I don't think going through hard things makes you stronger, it just breaks a lot of people. It can sometimes unveil the strength you had that was always there though. @TheFireMonkey3 ай бұрын
@thecocoacouch I understand what you are saying, but people often seem to miss important parts and I feel we need to keep these issues straight. Not trying to be difficult though, just feel that sometimes we need to clearify things things. Since I have known someone who went through a lot of trauma and then struggled with it the rest of their life, this journey in Korra is very significant to me and I am glad they took the time to address it so well
@SincerelyNyxx3 ай бұрын
@@felixhenson9926 I would actually disagree with you on that; not about you personally being tired of people calling you strong, though that wasn't what was originally being talked about, but instead generally going through hardships makes someone strong, even in small ways. Going through hardships does in fact make someone stronger (coming from someone who also has delt with trauma and hardships). The word strong encapsulates everything aka an umbrella term for everything else such as; resilient, having grit, courage, and so on.
@thecocoacouch3 ай бұрын
I gotta be specific hey 😆. So… on a general basis, 100% problems do make you stronger IF you overcome them. However sometimes with “trauma” it can be more difficult to overcome those problems. Those situations should be seen with more empathy than obviously regular problems. The point is though, and the point of what Toph was saying, is that there’s always a choice, to either allow those problems to overcome you, or become stronger because of them. Just trying to be encouraging y’all 😆

When Korra faces off against Kuvira, there is a very familiar feel to her movements. Bruce Lee was also known for facing off against masters of the older martial arts in similar style, mocking their antequated forms compared to the newer methods. Kuviras style appears to use some forms from Bruce Lee's Jeet Kun Do.
@labrynna873 ай бұрын
The premise of Korra dealing with trauma this season reminds me a lot of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (but in a more child friendly way, of course). I really, really like it when shows acknowledge that their characters are supposed to be real human beings with a psyche and take the time to show the audience that (some) events don't just go by these characters but hurt and potentially even traumatize them. It provides so much more weight to the different arcs and makes the characters feel so much more alive, relatable and inspiring. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. :) (And, hey, if you never saw Buffy before, maybe that's something for your channel in the future? It's very popular (so, it's good for the algorithm ;)), funny but emotional/surprisingly deep sometimes and it has some really good acting.)

I don’t think Korra was going in angry during her fight with Kuvira. I know she said she had a lot of pent up rage but she wasn’t actually using it. She’s just out of practice, still feels a little slower than how she Bended in the past. She’s doing well to keep getting up and recovering when Kuvira lands a hit but Kuvira won the fight before a single punch was thrown. She got in Korra’s head.
@thecocoacouch3 ай бұрын
I mean yes she was out of practice but it’s pretty clear for 90% of the fight she was on the offence rather than being more defensive. I think more than anything she was frustrated, and being out of practice only made it worse.

Korras rushed story really destroyed Kuviras character development, shes in many scenes in S3 from the time they get to Zaofu, the conversation about Su basically adopting her could have been had in S3 if they could have given her some real lines and been part of finding the traitor and then looking for iway when he ran off, maybe there could have been a glimpse of how ruthless she could be but they just shoe horn in at the end her introducing herself to Korras dad, small spoiler - theres no episode really going into kuviras background and giving a real explanation of why she is this way, also they set up alot of stuff in here that they never expand on cause there just wasnt time.
