A subtle nod to the power dynamic between Silco and the other leaders in the meeting is how they react to the gas: Everyone else is gasping and choking on the fumes, but because Silco is constantly dosing himself w/ Shimmer, a product he produces and mainlines, he's able to walk around in it as if it were clean air. He didn't need the mask, he took that puff as a show of dominance...😊

I never actually looked up how much money that was back when I watched the show, but the MC's 160mil is like $110,000. That's a crazy amount to have let alone whatever interest they're charging. Realistically I don't think he would ever be able to dig out of the hole he put himself in without something wild like the games

14:29 I don’t have any extraneous lore to reference, but I believe in the extended version of Return of the King, Faramir tells Pippin that Boromir was always the Soldier and he never really identified as that 🤷🏻♀️

14:50 Rabid animals may be vicious, but I don't think they eat people. I don't know what it's like to be an animal sick with rabies, but it's not good for the animal nor the person it bites.

My kiddos watch this at least once a day- they’ve taken an interest in Hebrew and we are able to start introducing them to the pride of our bloodline and people ❤❤❤❤…side: The music especially in the basket scene is nothing that will ever be replicated.

If you speak Norwegian, when they first show up, the guy actually tries to warn them by saying something along the lines of "That thing isn't a dog!" before he tried to shoot the dog.

When you like adventure movies I recommend the Disney movie "jungle cruise". It's really good. Funny, a little silly, good characters and in the jungle (almost like this movie actually)

One of my all time fave movies. Just as funny now as it was when I first saw it 20 years ago. The number of quotable lines is kind of unmatched; the way “boo you whore” and “get in loser we’re going shopping” especially have entered the pop culture world is great. My brother loves this movie too so I think you’re the right demographic : ) Thanks for another lovely reaction!

The reason for Denethor eating the way he did was a harken to an old movie where a businessman, IIRC, who had metaphorical blood on his hands spilled red wine on himself, making it allegory. The shots where Denethor snapped the bones of a chicken represented the broken bones of the men in battle and the red dripping from his lips represented the men bleeding from being pierced with arrows. Having a hard time remembering the movie but I'll make a follow-up with a reply to this with the name when I remember it.

This was my favorite movie for years. I was 12 when it came out, I had it on VHS and I swear I know all the monologue by heart. But to this day I have NEVER seen this director's cut, or even knew it existed..! So, this reaction had so many new things to me, and it kinda makes me a bit emotional. Like, if only that 12yo me could have seen this.. she would've LOVED it. Thank you so much for reacting to this..! ILY

"The One Where Ross Got High" is easily one my top five favorite Friends episodes. And I've always been curious about the trifle - it sounds disgusting at first, but I've watched some videos of people making it, and some people liked it. To be honest, it doesn't sound that different from, say, washing down a double cheeseburger and fries with a strawberry milkshake, something I've done many times.

There are many things that bug me out about the first movie but the one that for some reason has stuck with me is them not showing Four's reasoning for choosing who he did for the capture the flag. He chose smaller and more agile people of similar body type, because they fit the job ahead, while Eric focused on strength - which wasn't needed there really. It showed the difference in brain between Four and Eric that they don't seem to capture in the movies at all, but was relevant in many ways to the story in the books.

This movie is my husband's all time favourite (I guess there really is something to men and the Roman Empire 😅) and the amount of times he's just suddenly gone "Shadows and dust, Maximus" or "Are you not entertained?" (particular favourite of his with our child) or "I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next." (often when losing in board games)... this movie has some great quotes.
