Matthew Flores Thank you for the response. I did manage to get the ps3 working again. The issue with no image happens randomly and usually I need to go threw all of the reboot and power disconnects for a couple hours before it finally give me anything on the screen. If it happen’s again which it probably will, I will make a video and post it to my youtube page.

DUDE!!! You're AWESOME!!! You have no idea how long I've been struggling with extra fans and basically hacking my PS3 casing full of holes for more cold air intake and nothing worked except for getting more and more frustrated. And finally after many hours of swearing and watching video after video to fix the overheating problem I eventually got to your video..... Problem solved!!! Might have nailed the issue for me. Noticed one of my controllers malfunctioning when pressing up/down keys. Then, noticed the system freezing more and more. First on games, then on streaming video. Did the Restore File System, told me it was corrupted during the process, fired it up after Restore and the bad controller is working normally. Must have been a Bluetooth issue like you said at the end of the video. Thanks for the help!!

Make sure your console has proper ventilation so it doesn't overheat and you clean all the dust out of it

@Wiselyx Sadly. I ended up having to wipe my ps3 and all my memory on it. The crappy part being that I didn't have ps plus to back up my save files at the time so that all went too. Now the good news is that I got a ps4 not too long after I wiped my ps3, and now I own a ps5! I have PS Plus now too so this for sure won't be happening again! I still restarted some ps3 games and go back time to time too to play it too! Thanks for the advice anyways though!

Great Scott! It worked! Now i just did 4 games on BO3 on ps3 without freezes but in return i got all of them with 300 ping or more (3 times from before) but at least it doesn't freezes. GG man :D

If ur controller starts blinking over and over its because ur controller isn't assigned to ur console. Look at the back of ur controller and there should be a hole, click it with something small and connect it and it will work

You need a sony controller. Unfortunately most 3rd party controllers will not work for this process.😫

Thanks for you vote of confidence to reset it factory reset. I had to go through the same thing you did, the only way to get it back on was to click #5

AFTER TRYINF 3 and 4 reboots , it's bc of your internet connection , don't connect to a hotel or hotspot connects Sony doesn't support it only connect to a home wifi, if it's still freezing up Connect your PS3 with a Ethernet cable and turn it off and back on and see what happens

Mine still freezing. It seems to be only when system has been on for a while,and gets real hot! Cause it plays well, for the first few hrs. Then starts freezing. Idk.. guess I gotta upgrade to ps4. But dang it..I got over 100 ps3 games, that I love playing!

You fool, you weren't supposed to say yes to checking for corrupted Data. You either put down 'Restore File System' or 'Rebuild Database'.. Idk which one but do what is best. Don't go ahead of the video..

My PS3 has been freezing frequently lately when using the KZbin app. I hardly play any games on it anymore. Mine is the superslim model. I have done both Restore File System and Rebuild Database and I would still encounter freezing after a few days.

just restore PS3 system yes u will lose data but your PS3 will be fixed but u not done yet do a quick format then update your PS3 to the lastest firmware manually with a USB drive or via internet connection if you on the lastest firmware don't worry bout it your done ( me myself don't worry about losing data I always back up data) never know what happens

Sorry for late reply. Been extremely busy. Depends how much is on the system how long it'd take... but it's always best to backup ur games n settings on a USB external hard drive.

Then A, ur games r severely scratched. B, delete the specific games data from game data utility or start over n wipe it all out after u backup ur game saves n such or C buy a new 2.5 inch Sata hard drive for ur PS3. Ps3 only supports a maximum of 1TB internal Sata drive. Any laptop drive will do too as long as it's a 2.5 inch Sata and is 1TB or less

Restoring file system deletes corrupted system files n "restores" the original ps3 system files back, so no it has nothing to do with deleting anything on ur hard drive including ur dlc

Have u tried connecting the controller with the charging cable? Usually that's what u have to do to resync the controller to whatever PS3 ur wanting to use it on
