The thing that I love most about Zora's non fiction work is how much of herself she includes. Her personality is all throughout the piece - whether it's a book, review, essay or even her anthropology work. I would have loved to have met her.

The most beautiful analogies as always from Zora Neale! The segment of the essay where she was sitting at the table with a white person in a jazz club was perfect. Later, her comment about being a part of the Great Soul within these borders hit home with me. The bag analogy at the end I'll have to incorporate somewhere soon.
