Built this deck it’s amazing! Thank you! I got really into this build and now the deck is worth just over $500. Better extra turn spells, counters, exploration and burgeoning, mana base, craterhoof etc.

Deck Builder’s Society love the intros filling us in on the lore and backstory, also the 16 bit game style is a unique and clever touch

I won the first game I played in MTGO with this deck! It's good, it did require a little politics for me to not get hated off the table when I had like 4 creatures out on turn 2, but I found that I always had answers when my opponents tried to target my board. One thing I did do that's different was sneak a couple fat creatures into the list for hopeful late-game top decks so that I could do more than just ping my opponents, and it worked flawlessly in my favor. I put a Ghalta and a Tromokratis in because I had them laying around, so just as my opponents were starting to dismiss my 4 or 5 damage a turn I hit the board with Tromo and started chunking people the next turn. Good work on the list, keep up the good content.

Glad to hear it! Love hearing stories about the SBC decks winning games! Nice adds with the Ghalta and Tromokratis too, they can definitely end games in a hurry

Excellent deck tech! The mana base is a little rough to deal with, sometimes you need to mulligan quite aggressively to make sure that you have Edric out by turn 3, but that is fixed easily enough with a few inexpensive duals. What I'm curious about is (and maybe this could be a future segment or video series): How would you go about upgrading the deck, to give it a bit more "oumpf"? It would be great if you could do what Laboratory Maniacs did with their Inalla Live Brew session, where they iterated on the same commander through different price limits. Obviously not the same price limits, seeing as you have different demographics, but still, it would be nice to see where you would take the deck if you had 100 dollars, 150, 200 etc. to work with :)

I like that idea for an add on segment or separate video! I’ve thought about it in the past just haven’t done it yet. With this deck the best way to improve it is to add more extra turn spells, free counter spells like Force of Will, and upgrade the mana base with more dual lands like you mentioned. Edric is a great budget friendly commander, very easy to understand for newer players and simple to pilot.

Also cards that let you play additional lands each turn, since you’ll be drawing plenty of lands too. Exploration, Burgeoning, Oracle of Mul Daya, Azusa...

Yeah, I already have burgeoning and exploration in my upgrade list :)

With all the green dorks Growing Rites could work in this deck. Another include would be Temur Sabretooth + Wirewood Symbiote, Priest of Titania, or Karametra's Acolyte, or any mana dork that taps for four or more manas and Great Oak Guardian. Just flash Great Oak Guardian repeatedly and beat face.

david saraj Great suggestions! There's a lot of unique ways to play Edric which makes him really versatile and always keeps things fresh.
