I was overwhelmed with the possibilities for Garth, but this deck list feels sweet. In my Garth deck I have a bunch of tap-destroy effects like Visara the dreadful and Mangara of Corondor, but I really enjoy this list and will use it to update mine.

Very cool, I did a very similar build with my Gnostro deck that’s mostly built around Jeskai ascendancy and various other Untap engines for pingers and value. It’s a lot of fun and whenever I have more that like two Untap all creature triggers on the stack (day by copying an Untap spell) my brain starts to hurt but it’s all good fun.

Some cards whom I think deserve consideration are: Spawning Grounds making you an army of 5/5 tramplers, Genju of the Realm can be an 8/12 indestructible trampler that is also safe from bounce/exile -effects while it´s not your turn, Kamahl, Pit Fighter is a Bolt on stick, also with haste; and both Kwain, Itinerant Meddler and Selvala, Explorer returned can draw a bunch of cards and the letter still ramps you (probably)

I use the oldest copies I have of all the Garth cards as the tokens. 3rd edition disenchant and regrowth and 4th edition terror. I did have a revised Shivan Dragon but I sold it to my LGS when I saw it was $30 so I could get more D&D packs. I use the core 2017 Dragon and I am planning on making a wooden black lotus as my token

I would add beguiler of wills and arcanis for control and more card draw. Also I believe I need at least 3-4 counterspells and 1-2 mass indestructible effects such as heroic intervension to save your enchantments. Also with indestructible lands it would be spicy to add some Armageddon effects

Hey Mitch, what's that tool you're using near the end of the video showing prices? I wanna check it out to see if it gives the same kind of numbers that i get when i go directly on tcgplayer. For example this deck would cost me pretty much 80 euros without foil and including played cards, that seem a bit excessive.

I feel like I am missing a big point of this deck... I just can't seem to find the win con. I get that the point is to untap and retap big lands and garth a bunch but excluding the dragon all that gives you is a shit ton of mana and a lot of cards.... I get that Jeskai's Ascendency is going to pump your guys but even then if everything got pumped for say +6 and you have idk 4 creatures that is 3 +7's or +8's and 1 +11... In a 4 person commander game that kills maybe one person and that goes away at then end of your turn where u just die. Like I said, I have been very impressed with most of the deck techs I have seen from mitch, but this one has me confused.

Yeaaaaa..it seemed fun so I did build it. When I played it everyone was getting real worried because I seemed to be doing a ton of stuff each turn....but in the end I did absolutely nothing to anyone. haha. It was odd...looking for a better route with Garth.

With the card ready willing. When casting is it one side or can you cast both parts if you have enough mana. These cards are new to me

Okay so most split cards like Fire // Ice are "you can only cast one half of the card". However there are split cards with Fuse (like say...Ready // Willing). Wit these cards when you cast it *from your hand* you may cast both halves if you can pay for both halves. So to cast both Ready and Willing, you need a total of 2WBG (1WG for Ready, 1WB for willing). If you cast it this way, you do the left side first, so Ready goes first, followed by willing. Did that help?

If you flicker or bounce and recast Garth, he will have summoning sickness? You won't beable to get an additional activation

Yea, you need to give him haste to use him immediately but the benefit of blinking him is A) protecting him from targeted removal, and more importantly B) resetting him, since if he leaves the battlefield then returns he is treated as a new object and "forgets" anything he already did.

The whole deck is really built around generating mana and re-using Garth. Mitch doesn't usually fully explain the wins for his decks because they're not really built to win, they're just built to do weird stuff and have fun. The best I can see is either pumping and swinging with multiple Shivan Dragons or decking your opponents with Braingeysers.
