That was my reaction when I saw the clip on Twitter. I saw the Hunger Games reference (& found it really funny). This could have been simple. A Christmas video, especially at a level like this, needs to have Class. It needs to have a timeless, global feel. This wasn't it. At all. And it can be a similar style, & still be classic/classy. A bit over-the-top, very bright and colorful, tap-dancing focused Christmas video can work. If they had decided to do it like Classic Golden Age Hollywood musicals. The only real thing that weirded me out (aside from a couple of the costumes) was the constant camera focus. Tap dancing is awesome! Portray it like Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Shirley Temple.... have it be be a simple universal thing of simply enjoying yourself & enjoying dancing. Instead we got these kinda-creepy plastic/fixed constant grins and always looking/mugging for the camera. Very: 'Hey look I'm on camera! I'm tap-dancing on the camera! Isn't it so amazing to see me dancing because I'm just THAT AWESOME!'

No, batman, it's not. Dr. Biden earned her PhD which is indeed a doctor of philosophy. I worked in healthcare for nearly 40 years and I certainly understand that not all doctors are physicians. Interestingly, in the UK physicians are usually called 'mister', not 'doctor'. Incidentally, I'm not a fan of Joe Biden though I do think that Dr. Biden has been a fine First Lady, not the easiest of jobs and completely unpaid. But--you are being unfair and frankly, immature, when you try and deny her her title.

I’ve been a tap dancer for 13 years and that dance seems like a parody more than a serious tap dance. It’s as if Jill looked up the first dance center that did tap and hired them on the spot. Regardless of political views I think we can all agree that this White House Christmas video was just bad.
