My main beef with Tommy Cruise goes from the beginning of when TOP GUN became a success . The main reason the movie was a success was because of the director Sit Tony Scott . Not sure how you're coming to the conclusion that Maverick was Star Wars, when they're nothing alike aside from the fact that both films have people in "flying ships". Maverick is just a complete retread of Top Gun. A film that was already wildly overrated even in the '80s. I'm glad it was a hit though since I enjoy most of the films Cruise is in. Cult or not. And besides that, every "religion" is a cult until it amasses a large enough following...just like the two biggest cults we have today that have been around a few thousand years.

TC is a very unstable person, his sense of humor isn't funny to all, in fact it's harmful to many! HE has a unhealthy view of reality and it's easier to just not like him as a person, than to play his games of messing with others emotions and beliefs. One should no be so concerned with how they are liked or accepted but rather, if you are so fortunate to be able to touch so many hearts, he should do it without judgements and attitude.
