Then after their father died and he stepped up to be the man in the household. He protected Sheldon from all the issues so that he could pursue his schoolastic career. As it been shown in the big bang theory, Sheldon would quit school to help his family, even if it meant putting his career on hold. Georgie as the older brother cared for him and took the L and struggled further to maintain stability in the family. That's why, when Sheldon apologized to him on their wedding; Georgie accepted it. Because Sheldon wouldn't do anything malicious or manipulative, his to straight forward with his emotions. Sheldon through out the series came to realize that people around him care for him but that he acknowledges that he can oblivious and hurtful without meaning to. But it also shows the unfairness Missy had to deal with growing up. And being empathetic she could adjust for decades,. But such imbalance in family support can show up later in life and that's what likely happened to Missy. There another episode with the psychologists where Missy's potential and ability to read people and their emotions is seen and she's able to do so because she's the one who's usually ignored by all, over her brother's. So no wonder she had a divorce likely with someone who was similar to her brothers and father, because people usually end up marrying what they find familiar. But later on had to divorce such a person as well, if she hadn't addressed by then on how to work through the toxic patterns that were caused by her male role models from her life. I know these two shows are comedies, but they show real life snippets of what happens to men and woman as they grow up. And your comments as well as my recent observations led me to talk about the lost potential of what happens to women, even if they are educated in similar manner by their parents, they aren't always respected, adored or cared for in the same way. Would love a show on Missy, where she finally gets her genius moments, albiet later than Sheldon or Georgie. Imagine later on in life how much worse she would have felt given her life scenarios, and given the success of Sheldon and Georgie. But i am sure she would have tried to do better or be more balanced for her kids given her experience of imbalance seen with her parents raising her and her brothers.

A lot of ignorant and stupid comments here, smh. First - Sheldon was thankful & grateful. He literally apologized and thanked Leonard in season 8, for everything, for ' putting up with him', he also did the same during his Nobel speech. Sheldon also showed his gratitude numerous times throughout the series, just in his own way. He also made up with Georgie in this very episode, the episode this clip here is from. There wasn't any big conflict between them. From everything that was said in this episode, it turned out that they simply hadn't talked for 10 years, because they naturally drifted from each other, they lived far away from each other, in different states, and everyone took care of their own affairs, this is what often happens in families in real life too. Besides, Georgie says in this episode in another scene that they 'protected' Sheldon and that's why they didn't tell him anything about what was going on in the house, that it was bad, so it's not Sheldon's fault that they 'protected' him and didn't tell him anything. Anyway, people clearly still don't get what The Big Bang Theory was really about. It's the story focused on Sheldon, and Sheldon being the unusual human, the modern Rain Man. He is a child genius who grew up to be an adult genius when it comes to high, academic knowledge but is socially and emotionally disabled. Just like in one scene, where Sheldon is in the casino to win money for some science project: he is a genius enough to use his high IQ and math knowledge to beat the system at the casino, but he is socially oblivious to the fact that you don't tell this to the casino security. Sheldon is still like a child savant: genius, but totally naive and innocent in many aspects, exactly like children. That's the essence of the show and the main source of the comedy on the show. The Big Bang Theory is essentially the new version of Rain Man. I saw many fans also misinterpret what Chuck Lorre said once about Sheldon 'not being autistic' - this is not true. What Lorre said was, that they didn't want to diagnose Sheldon specifically on the show, meaning, they didn't want to say what type of autism Sheldon has exactly, like Asperger, etc, but in general, everyone knows that he has some type of autism.

Vehicles back in the 60s, 70s and 80s. The engine oil at the time wernt that great, and over time gunk would build up. Thus, it was impressive if your car got 100,000 miles.
@macmcleod11883 жыл бұрын
@@jackiechan_wtf4041 it's also a difference in cost of the vehicle and quality build though. In 1960, a new truck cost about $3,000.( I verified this before posting. The average price was 2760) . Adjusting for inflation, That same truck today would cost about $16,000. So do you want to be able to buy a new truck every 80 thousand miles that is a beater by a hundred and thirty thousand miles for $16,000, or do you want to truck as last 300,000 miles that cost $32,000. This also meant that the used car market was flooded the cars. My first used car in 1976, cost me $200. That's about $650 in today's dollars. And it was a pretty decent 1964 Ford Fairlane.

As a child Georgie was willing to roll up his sleeves and get to work, not too many kids are willing to do that. The fact that Georgie became a success and a millionaire he was vindicated in his choice of career and Mary and George owe him an apology, and Herschel and Dale deserve a thank you from Georgie. He properly started at the bottom and grafted his way to where he is now. However she has social skills and uses that in her job later in the show (bbt).
