I like when Quistis walks into the infirmary during that CGI sequence. I never was able to figure out her expression but I assume its a sigh like "Ugh these dumbasses were at it again..."

I remember when I first played this game as a kid. I think it was just before the end of disc one, you enter a cave where you get the Brothers GF and I was trying to find some code. I must have spent like 10 hours back tracking and looking everywhere for it, only to find out it's on the body of a soldier as you enter the cave. Good times haha.

I know the feeling I beat the game without a strategy guide probably took like 80 hrs. Still never did a 100 percent run yet. Thus video has inspired me

Would've liked to see 255 Strength, Vitality, Magic, Spirit, Speed, and Luck + 9999 Max HP on 1 character as a requirement - it **IS** 100% after all. Since you can junction magic as well as using the Stat Ups this won't even take particularly long for the first 5 stats (HP will take no time at all), Luck will obviously take some time but it's consistent guaranteed progress with no RNG limiting you.

idont understand the squall damage... in this moment 39:41 explain me pls
@Cordellium4 жыл бұрын
Hi CosmicVayne! So, early on, the best we can do in a speedrun for Squall’s STR stat is to junction it with some low level magic, the best and most readily available being Water. In order to get this magic, we first start learning I-Mag RF on Shiva which let’s us refine Water/Blizzard magic. Second, we get 5 Fish Fin drops from the Fastitocalon-F enemies on the beach outside of garden. Lastly, at Dollet we refine out the 100 Waters from the Fish Fins using I-Mag RF to Squall, them junction the Water to his STR stat (which at this point requires him having Ifrit as Ifrit is the only GF that we have this early in the game with the STR-J ability learned). Hope this helps! Let me know if not. Cheers and be well!

So - what's the diff between the psx run and remaster for hundo? I want to do hundo for psx. Have wanted to for yrs.
@Cordellium Жыл бұрын
Iirc, PSX was the same as Remastered, save for some grinds on the World Map being easier due to how encounters and drops work on the latter.

@Cordellium Жыл бұрын
There are poles that appear in the windows of the train on the way to Deling City that are tied to the same RNG value that determines the Caraway Mansion code. So depending on the quantities of the sets of poles that appear, we can know what the code will be without having to go to the Tomb of the Unknown King.

@Cordellium4 жыл бұрын
@@YozoraHeart Because it would be far slower than getting it later and there is no benefit to getting it early other than an nominal damage boost that wouldn't make fights faster. Come by my twitch channel twitch.tv/connorcordell and ask away sometime if you'd like. Cheers Sonic!

Remastered looks nicer, you can choose the japanese dialogue as well.

4 things. 1. Remaster boosters, particularly speed boosters make drawing from enemies/bosses wayyyy quicker 2. Siren and one other gf needed to be lvl 100 to have the full effect of its refine ability available. Remaster did away with that 3. Omega weapon in remaster is minimum and maximum lvl 100. Og it was scaled to your lvl 4. Lots of rare items were available in chocobo world in the pocketstation whatever that is. Remaster scrapped that and made all the items available at incredibly low odds with angelo search

I don't understand how people do 20 hour speedruns in one sitting. did you do this in one sitting? I just started watching the video.
@Cordellium3 жыл бұрын
Yes, this was one of the last runs of this sort I did. As to how, there are ways to increase the likelihood of success and somewhat decrease deleterious side effects of being up so long while playing video games (getting up frequently and moving around, drinking plenty, lots of bright lights, coffee, etc.) but at least personally, I never had too much issue when it was something between 20-30 hours (e.g. the second speedrun I learned was Xenogears at around 18-22 hours). But beyond that, it gets a lot more grating and challenging. Never finished runs/multi-runs successfully that lasted over 40 hours.

when the remastered came out, i went for the overpowered approach: lvl100 before the SeeD exam (BONUS FRZ w/ Ifrit), when I did that in the original, it took over 10 hours, w/ all the tools in this version... less than half that... how do I love the fact that the monsters level up w/ the characters...
