Winifred slowly starts decorating the kitchen for Christmas. An old ladder is her first addition to create a cosy festive atmosphere. Orange garlands, pine branches and pinecones are the perfect complements to her new painting, the blanket ladder and a few vintage ornaments. To celebrate the new decorations and the arrival of December she bakes a snowy cake for tea.

This brought back great memories of 1971 when I helped my Mom seal Christmas cards with hot wax & a fleur de lis stamp. I used to embroider & do alot of crewel in my younger years. The last one I did was a Christmas stocking in 1988 which I still hang every year. It's our first holiday season without my Mom but so happy to have these lovely memories. But actually, since my main videos are a series (a story with characters) and I am the only actress, if I always show my face, the different characters would have the same face 😂 So I just use a red wig and that's it! I was notified of this video when I myself was planning to start my Christmas decorating video this weekend. Of course, I’m expecting this one to be different. Pine needles in paper cones? Pine cones on a cake? Who’d think of that? I am always transported to pages of my childhood fairy tale books when I watch your videos:) I live in a small city now but grew up in a province(countryside) and as a child, it was easy for me to fantasize being in fairy tale books. This one brings me to a wonderment of a Christmas ‘fairy tale-like’ home atmosphere in the forest or countryside. A nostalgia ❤

Warm, comfortable and just lovely 💕. Painting the pine branch is my favorite. I haven’t done that yet, so here’s my cue. Loving the paper cones too. I have pine branches in a few places already. Bringing nature inside helps with the extra darkness these days. Thank you for sharing! 💕

But the character of my story is supposed to live in Bermothill, a fictional village in the UK :) It is my dream to live there, in the countryside. Todo lo que tengo es de segunda mano comprado allí, encontrado en la calle o pertenecía a mis abuelos 🤎 En mi país de origen no es común encontrar estas cosas tan bonitas tan baratas o gratis, pero aquí en Alemania es muy común y es una forma de cuidar el medio ambiente 🍃
