I have astigmatism in both eyes. The streaks can definitely be annoying, but they're also really pretty. As a child I was mesmerized by the way streaks of light would bounce off of other objects. Great roleplay as always, the perfect mix of clinical and comforting. :)

I have astigmatism (and generally bad vision). Before I got glasses, I remember watching the streetlights at night. The streaking of the lights blurred out basically everything else when we drove close to them. When I got glasses, my vision was blurry! I remember being unable to really see, until my eyes adjusted

This feels like something I experience, except it’s not streaks, the lights just look like a bunch of dots in a vaguely oval shape. Not sure what that is, but it’s definitely a bit annoying. Oh and the ovals start pretty big, and get smaller the closer I get to the light source. Cool video btw!! 😍

@thecozyhospitalasmr Жыл бұрын
You can see streaks with 20/20 vision. Astigmatism doesn’t necessarily always affect how far you can see. I’m not an expert in this but have a couple friends with astigmatism and one of them can see just fine close and far away, it’s just at night or around a lot of lights that he struggles.
@monikakamila Жыл бұрын
@@thecozyhospitalasmr interesting . My dad wears reading glasses now but he’s always had perfect vision. I’m going to have to ask him if he sees streaks . Now I’m curious 🤨
@Shnindy Жыл бұрын
English isnt my first language, so sorry for any mispelling. The way you can imagine the term „Vision“ is the „resolution your eye can achive“. For example 20/20 Vision is like 4K and something like 05/20 more like 360p. The prescription you have, be it with or without astigmatism, only tells you what you Need to achieve said Vision. Also your dad just most likely reached the age in which the muscles of the eye cant compress the Lens enough to read easily, so no worries there ;) I will say tho, checking up with the doc is always recommended since were all prone to devolop a cataphract, especially as we get older. Hope it clarified some things for you
