I KNEW IT!! It's so subtle I was starting to wonder if I'd just never noticed it before. Also, I feel like "Clay Gray" would be a great name for this big froggy fella! It has this sense of gravitas about it. Like he could be walking down the street to get some groceries and people passing by could be like "Whoa, is that Clay Gray?? I thought he was in outer space fighting alien baddies or somesuch." But nope. He's just nippin' down to Krogers to grab some celery.

I love the flute stab at the end. It fits so well with your aesthetic. When you do your two-part mold, that’ll give you the opportunity to brush resin in the mold to get those pesky bubbles out before you pour the rest of the resin in.
@kbowler92665 жыл бұрын
What would you brush it with? I have tryed to brush resin on the outside of pieces but I can't get it smooth. Not with a paint brush, any way
@EllenJB5 жыл бұрын
Some resins you can run a lighter over them to get the bubbles out. I also get a little beading needle sometimes and pop bubbles with that.

Love the idea of the dump molds,and yeah with a little magnet or a clip it could very easily be a little low cost trinket like a button, pin or fridge magnet.
@JMcMillen4 жыл бұрын
Dump molds are used by Hollywood model makers. Apparently there's this one model bit that is super popular when kit bashing stuff. In fact, it's used in nearly ever ship model that has appeared in every single Star Wars movie. One shop eventually started making many, many molds of the bit in question. If they had leftover resin they would dump in on the molds. When they cured, they just popped them out and dumped them in a bucket, for anyone in the shop to use.

Hey CraftsMan, CraftsBoy over here, we use a vacuum chamber to remove bubbles , when pulling the vacuum the bubbles increase in size , thus increasing the chance of them floating to the surface, and when you go back to normal pressure before the mix cures, the resulting bubbles are even tinier due to the 1 ATM pressure pushing them together. I love you channel man, keep it up!
