Beautiful work! I found the way you do the square knot different from the way I see other macrame tutorials tell us to do. I notice that you put the loose end of thrE cord from front to back, whereas the others bring it from the back to the front. Is that just an alternate way of doing a square knot? Please explain.

I used 3mm string with a thin stick. I jsed all the right measurements. I couldn't finish because strings were short, its very unfortunate i was supposed to gift this to someone for the Holidays

I feel like I did something wrong. I used the measurements you have in the video, but my strings ended up so short I was only able to finish up to the first diagonal row of square knots after the middle diamond shape.

May I know what size of cord did you use ? It migght affect the length if you use thicker mm cord. And make sure the metric units you use is correct too.

We have other people sharing they did it successfully. Are your knots more to loose knots ? And check the wooden dowel size thickness, is it too thick which can affect the length.

Yes you may, the result will turn out bigger. So you need a longer wooden stick.

couldn't finish project as the mesurments were nowhere near enough string. Had to start over :(

Perhaps the cord size is different. It might turn out shorter if your cord is thicker.

weave beautifully and the video was shot very badly, you close the whole process of tying a knot with your hands and you can't see anything - it's very difficult to see
