Happy New Year to Jamie, the man whose smile and positive energy could light up the whole room! I'm a 63 year old grey-haired woman who still loves to buy toys (for myself). I can't help but grow old... but Growing UP? That's optional! There are at least two things I buy at Dollar Tree for pure silliness! That's the wiggle eyes and the rolls of thin double stick tape I put on the back. I carry a ziplock baggie full of googly eyes with tape on the back, ready to add to whatever I come across that needs a touch of silly. I live pretty far off the grid on 20 acres of wilderness, and it takes me an hour to get to civilization. I only go to town once, maybe twice a month. When I do, I leave googly eyes affixed to posters, ads, cans of product... the makeup aisle at the local drugstores have so many opportunities for embellishing with wiggle eyes!🤪 Even though it does no lasting harm as they are easy to remove, I figure some day I'm gonna get caught. If and when I do, I insist on the local paper doing a story with my pic. That will be my punchline, as I will insist that they refer to this as the "Googly-eyed Granny Caper". As they snap my picture, I will quickly look all the way to my left, because my right eye (lazy eye) can't move to the left, and looks straight ahead. It only becomes obvious that I have a "googly eye" myself when I look all the way to my left. Things are pretty tense in our country, and I am inspired by dear, kind folks like Jamie to bring a little fun and humor to everyday life. Jamie is a treasure! Now, let's go play with some toys!😃🏍

Loved the plane memo board. Sadly, my Dad - an Air Force Pilot - passed away last spring, or I’d have made one for him. He would have loved it! I even have the paper in the condo that would have been perfect. For that project, I might have turned the whole thing to be landscape instead of portrait, to give a little more space for each airplane/memo. And how cute would it be to turn the planes the other way, so they look like they are dragging the memos behind them, like those advertising planes? Love your project ideas!

The wall sconces are really cool. :) It’s amazing what some metallic spray paint can do! 😂 I wonder if you get an even nicer effect by doing some dry brushing with either a black, a silver, or maybe a verdigris green? Make them look a bit weathered and pop some of the texture up. Love your creativity!

Maybe put long tooth picks through the motorcycle wheels so they dont move while the glue sets. Then pull them out before paint.

When trying to untie a stubborn knot, take the end of the string or rope, and twist it in the same direction it’s spun in, making the string smaller. It will slip out without much effort.

I was about to be annoyed but you surprised me...I thought you were going to be another youtuber that would tear the motorcycles apart for only the wheels! And throw the rest in the trash. That and when they would buy a toilet plunger for the wood and throw rubber part away!!!! Thank you😂

Sorry but it still looks like plastic to me
@DawnDavidson20 сағат бұрын
If you like the ideas, you might consider adding some dry brushing and/or sanding the items a bit, to give it a bit more texture or weathering. I’ve also seen some people add a textured paint as a base coat to make things look less plastic-y as well. I’ve seen stuff that looks like “hammered metal” and some that looks like sandstone. They can really change the look of a piece without a lot more cost or effort. The “hammered metal” effect would have been great on either the 3 lanterns or the wall sconces, I think.
