Nice and clear! Thanks, Vanessa. I watched another tutorial on preparing a 3D pinwheel, and it was certainly not like yours. Thank you for carefully explaining everything! Pat Berne

Enjoyed the tutorial. I love your new "Studio". The overhead and side shots are great not that your old tutorials were not enjoyable, but you are more at ease because you don't have to do the filming. So happy for all of your accomplishments, Vanessa!

I would love to see tutorial also for wall hanging right behind you! I 'm planning to do the 3D pinwheel half the size and sew a ribbon on to make a small tree ornament and maybe a matching throw pillow!

I have some really cute charm packs just waiting to be made into a baby quilt. I love the 3-D concept in this block!! And no cutting??? LOVE IT. Thanks Vanessa for always giving good tutorials. (I think you showing the mistake will save me from time w/ my seam ripper, too!!!)

Amy McQueen No problem! Glad to help! I know some people will still make the mistake but wanted to show the visual so you understand why and how it will look if it's not consistent. Glad you enjoyed it!

Wow. I made one of these blocks and because of your awesome teaching skills it turned out fantastic. If it had not been for your instructions on how things could wrong , I surely would have messed things up. I wish I could post a picture of the block I made.

I Love this! I bought a charm pack of Kona solids a few years ago and have never figured out what in the world to do with them. They would be so cute with a plain white or light color background- a super cute baby doll blankie for my niece! Thank you do much, Vanessa! Also, my birthday was this past Tuesday, June 9th- Gemini's Rock!

great tips on bulky sewing. Another from Karen Black of "Just get it done Quilts," a couple folds of fabric as a bumper to hold the back of the pressor foot while sewing up to thicker folds helps getting over the humps.

great block, looks easy enough to do but I will only work with solids as the back ground and prints as the pinwheel using prints for both is way to busy and looses some of it flare

Hi Vanessa I love your tutorials please keep them coming. Is there anyway you can do a tutorial on making a quilt from uncut fat quarters? I have some fat quarters I can't cut lol!! And also how to sash a quilt??
@babescraftroom9 жыл бұрын
Question?? Why can't you just pin the fabric then sew it all at once so you don't have all that bulk? And it takes two steps out and goes faster? i am all about time. lol.. love the block and you too..
@kathiefleming28309 жыл бұрын
You are a great instructor believe me. This project needs to have more fabric contrast to make it visually worth the effort of making. If I can't really notice the pinwheel, what difference does it make if it is 3d?
@susanchase78809 жыл бұрын
Kathie Fleming This would make a a good quilt for a young child... The 3d isn't for the looking, it is tactile for the child to feel and play with.. Would make a make a better pillow for a little one......
