You can make stamps cheaply using the white vinyl erasers for smaller designs. They are a bit softer so not requiring as much pressure. Thanks for sharing your results. These are very cute and a great result for a first timer. 😻

I live in Oregon, USA, but my favorite region is the US Southwest. I have hundreds, if not thousands, of photographs of Utah, Arizona and New Mexico that I'm dying to paint but will probably never get to. What a shame. I was very fascinated by this work and how you accomplished it. It's something I've never tried. Once my back is fixed and I can comfortably sit upright again, I will have to try it. Thanks for the inspiration that fills me every time I watch your vids.

I mount mine on the cling sheets you use for mounting rubber stamps, one side is sper sticky and the other side is smooth and shinny and thats the side that clings to an acrylic block so you have something to hold onto while Stamping. Another easier way to stamp is lay the paper on top of the inked stamp and gently rub all over

Love this idea! Thanks! I think you could use acrylic paint or acrylic markers and paint your Lino sheet a dark color before you draw or carve - it would make it clear as to what will be printed, since it will remain a dark color. Does that make sense? Not sure I explained it well.

Awesome video... i do these on occasion I know this video is a year old but wanted to share his information... For your viewers I do want to point out that you are actually using a rubber not lino (linoleum) Linoleum is much harder to cut and is flat however its much cheaper. A good tip for true lino is to heat it up.

Hi, another fab video! I recently found a really handy solid finger/hand guard for use on the non-cutting hand while lino cutting. Not sure if it’s available everywhere but I found it in a craft shop in the UK and it was less than 5 pounds, my fingers are very grateful! xx

Excellent for a new beginner and otherwise. Love the nature theme in your relief. You can also colour the areas in you want black with a tush and carve away. As you print and carve away more areas it is called reduction. Wonderful work

If you stain or colour your carving material first (e.g. ink, marker pen), before carving, it helps to show you what will be negative (what you cut away, to remain uninked) and what will be positive (what will be printed).

I have just found your channel today. I was searching for info on iPad creating journal pages. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. So, I am commenting here to beg you to please keep going on the iPad tutorial. Also, I am so pleased to know that there is a cheap art program to use for it. I never would have known about it if you had not made the video. I would never afford the Photo Shop art program. Thanks so much for listening.

Please make yourself a cutting surface, it helps with safety and helps to make more pressured cuts. All you need is a piece of wood larger than you think you would like to cut. Then add a length of 1 to 2 cm by 1 to 2 cm wood to fix along the underneath width of the main block. Use the same strips down the top length and width edges to make a right angle which will help your Lino to stay in place and to hold while you are pushing against. The lower bar will butt up against the table securing the block. I hope this helps, you can buy them but they are easy to make. Googling images of them will be more explanatory than my very basic instructions.

Maybe it makes stamping easier when you press the stamp down with an acrylic or wooden block just laid over it. 🙂
