It's sad that Disney had a wealth of material to pull from to make new content, yet they played themselves so horribly. Now they have to really dig deep into SWTOR to salvage this franchise. This is what happens when you don't plan things out properly. I look forward to the day when Kennedy is removed and Disney respects the true fan base again.

Rogue One was a good movie, don't know what you mean. It's an excellent story to tell how the Rebellion got their hands on the Death Star plans, as well as this you can read the Catalyst novel, which explains the events that led to Rogue One. If you don't like it, I assume you just can't take there being a female lead character. I'm not being like Rian Johnson, who passes every criticism he gets as "just another sexist white male", but honestly there are next to no problems with Rogue One. Darth Vader was done EXTREMELY well, the main character, Jyn Erso was not a mary sue, she had a proper story. And the Rebels even LOST.

I mean, the original trilogy and prequels were well done though I feel with episodes 3 and episode 6 having the hype behind those 2 living up to them. But this knocks the sequel trilogy out in one punch easily, I feel like a ton of people would be willing to see something like this for Star Wars if it was M Rated and went over the real depth and darker entertainment Star Wars offers when it’s permitted to be. This is the right amount of drama that people want to see because they can’t take their eyes off of this at all

As mentioned by some of the posters below, this third faction is The Eternal Empire, ruled by, the Immortal Emperor Valkorian. The brothers are his sons. Twin princes, Arcann and Thexan !! You also learn that the Sith Empire is something of a precursor to the Eternal Empire. The same entity is behind both of them. What was not done right with the Sith Empire was 'perfected' with the Eternal Empire. This also results in their unique approach to the force, where it's neither light or dark but more aspirational...if I've understood it correctly. This is why both Sith and Jedi are bested and their factions decimated. This was released for SWTOR and it's more of a single player story driven expansion, which is why I personally liked and enjoyed it !! It's also for the same reason that others didn't like it, because SWTOR is an MMO and this was released with little to no group content initially. This shows its possible to tell plenty of stories in the Star Wars universe, but unfortunately Disney have relegated this and the rest of the expanded universe as 'Legends'. IMO, if you want the best Star Wars experience, the EU offers FAAAAAR more than the sequel trilogy !! Tell me, what 'felt' more Star Wars...watching these cinematics for a game that came out 8 yrs ago, or the recent movies carry the Star Wars name ?? ;)

As for the father, his name is Valkorion, who was acting as a host body for the Sith Emperor Vitiate (Vitiate had the ability to take over new bodies after his current one died off/was killed). Valkorion was the leader of a third faction called the Eternal Empire, (aka the Empire of Zakuul) which was neither sith nor Jedi. Rather, their force users were known as the Knights of Zakuul. The Eternal fleet was supposedly unstoppable, and proved to be so strong that the Jedi and Sith had to form a temporary truce and join forces to stop the Eternal Empire. The two sons, Arcann (white clothing) and Thexan (black clothing) were the children of Valkorion They were the ones spearheading Valkorions conquests. In "Sacrifice" Valkorion only began to acknowledge Arcann after he killed Thexan because he had made the ultimate sacrifice; killing his brother. In the beginning of that trailer, that was one of the first things that Valkorion narrated, that a man can have anything as long as he is willing to sacrifice for it.

Although, speaking about Valkorion as if he had his own separate will is a mistake. It really was Vitiate/Tenebrae all the time. He both ruled the Sith Empire from which he apparantely disappeared (leaving everything in the hands of the Dark Council) and went to forge and rule the Eternal Empire, as you said perfecting it, learning from the mistakes done in the past with the Sith. Valkorion we can say was the name of the body that functioned as a host. He fooled everybody xD even Senya. Tho he states that at some point he "loved" her, but again...master of deceit

The Sith Emporer. So basically Valkorion was running 2 empires at the same time, but (spoiler alert) after you kill him as the Jedi Knight, Valkorion, who survived because he knew how to transfer his essence to a new body, decided to take cover the galaxy with a new faction A.K.A. the Eternal Empire.

MMORPG graphics and gameplay aside, the story in the game is also fantastic and you get to interact with these characters and make choices that dictate their outcomes. It takes a bit of tedious old-school MMORPG questing in the original game to get to this more cinematic content however. Highly recommend playing as a Jedi Knight or Sith Warrior since those stories transition into this expansion the best.

The following has spoilers if you are planning to play the game. This all ties into KOTOR and Revan's story. The twins are the older brothers of the little girl in one of the other videos. She is the one who gets taken by her father and her mother tries to save her. In that video you see her watching her brothers training from this one. Their dad was the former Sith Emperor who became disaffected by the old Sith way so he went into wild space and created another faction called The Eternal Empire, with his Force users known as Knights of Zakuul (Zakuul being the planet they are on). This is the threat Revan went looking for between KOTOR and KOTOR 2! The Emperor is the one who orchestrated the Mandalorian invasion that Revan and Malak fought against as Jedi Crusaders. Revan and Malak then went searching for the Empire and Emperor dominated their minds, sending them back to take control of the Star Forge, but they broke free from the mind control and Revan decided to use the Forge for himself to break and reforge the Republic into a force capable of fighting against the Eternal Empire. Revan lost his memory and it took a while to remember what he was actually trying to do. Some of the Old Republic game and especially some of its DLC is about what happens to Revan. The game is essentially KOTOR 3.

This was an expansion of the existing game. That's how MMO's work. The Game of Thrones guys are gone. They are not doing any Star Wars films at this point. No one has confirmed that they (Lucasfilm) are doing any Old Republic films. The President of Lucasfilm was asked about it and she just said that was one thing they were considering. It was an answer designed not to upset fans, which seems to be the only goal of Lucasfilm at this point.

Darth Vitiate is the father, emperor of the Eternal Empire. Arcann (white) and Thexan (black) are the twin sons. The girl from the video entitled "Betrayed" is their little sister called Vaylin. And the mother is the woman who tried to save Vaylin. Her name was Senya Tirall. Vitiate was the dude who turned Revan and Malak to the dark side after the Mandalorian Wars. During the war, they figured out Mandalore the Ultimate was actually working for someone else and they went into the Unknown Regions to find the man behind the curtain. That was Vitiate, of course, but he captured them and turned them into his agents. Then the "Knights of the Old Republic" and "Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords" games happen and that's its own shit. But the important stuff that happens there is, Revan returns and makes a kind of false Sith Empire to prime the galaxy for Vitiate's return. Trouble is, Revan gets captured by the Jedi and ends up killing Malak and the whole plan goes to shit. BUT, there are still a lot of people left over from his false Sith Empire. That's the Sith faction you see in "The Old Republic" which occurs several hundred years later. Vitiate comes back with his true Sith empire, the Eternal Empire, and just starts wiping everyone out -- Jedi, Sith, you name it. They all just kind of stand in his way. So, the core of "The Old Republic" and the first few expansions all deal with the war between the Jedi and the Sith, but "Knights of the Fallen Empire" and "Knights of the Eternal Throne" deals with the return of Vitiate and his war on the Sith and the Jedi both. As for Vitiate himself, he's kind of a monster. He's not even really alive anymore. The body you see is just a host named Valkorion while Vitiate himself is a spirit which inhabits him. Vitiate got most of the power he has (and rendered himself basically immortal) by mass murdering thousands of Sith and absorbing all their life energy and power about a thousand years before the Mandalorian Wars. So, it's probably the case that Vitiate doesn't have as much of an attachment to the kids as one would imagine. They aren't really his kids. One can infer that he's mostly just interested in finding a new host as his power wears out the host bodies very quickly.

So Emperor Vitiate of the Sith Empire hops bodies, right? The old man is him in a new shell after the Knight killed his old shell (still not his original body mind). He builds this new Empire of Zakuul and goes after the Republic AND Sith Empire to conquer the galaxy and eventually cleanse it of life. Those two are the sons of his current host and he manipulated the white-clad brother into the Dark Side. Messed up.

This happens years and years after the Deceived trailer... if you play Jedi Knight in the game, at the end of the campaign, you beat the sith Emperor Vitiate, and when he "dies", he becomes Valkorion, and starts building this new faction (ofc as a player, you didnt know about that...couple expansions came out before this), and they almost destroy both the republic and sith empire. The story itself is very complex after that, but pretty much Valkorion/Vitiate is just playing games, using both his family and later you as a player to play around. Final trailer is Betrayed, its about their sister, and their Mother... Vaylin is the most powerfull of the children, and in the temple, where they took her, they put limitations on her, so she wouldnt overpower the emperor himself.

In total, these 5 cinematic movies from Star Wars Old Republic are better than the entire new trilogy. Approximately 30 minutes of cinematic trailers in total from this game, which debuted a decade ago, far surpasses nearly 8 hours if the entire new Star Wars trilogy. Why these are not movies or a TV series is beyond me.

The leader the old guy with the goatee is sith emperor. He could control multiple bodies at once and controlled one body that was the sith emperor leader of the sith army and he had his own planet with his human body counterpart. He was originally of the Sith Race before he chose to take over the guys body. So he was ruling 2 different factions at once

he used them to kill the previous master, and apprentice of both dark, and light sides so he can take control as the new and undetested sith master. Their can only be one sith apprentice as well so he manipulated both sons to choose the rightful heir.
