This is why I love my SRAM AXS, I can carry a spare battery or if I don’t have one I can swap the front and rear batteries 😉. Looks like you’re having a wonderful time and as you say you will laugh at all these mishaps when you look back on them because you are in the place you want to be and living the dream 😊

Great video again, Thomas. Montejunto is awesome, and the Vila Verde climb is surely the most enjoyable, all the others are much harder (but you have to do them anyway 😂). I'm glad you're enjoying our roads and scenery. Next saturday you should definitely do the Tróia-Sagres event, it's such a cool day out on the bike! 😉

How does di2 run out in a couple of rides. If you charged it after the last time you should get months out of it.

I was thinking the same thing and I'm a sram user. Di2 guys only need to charge every few month. I do a charge about 3 to 4 weeks.

Maybe he accidently lent the bike up against the wall amd it pressed a button. That drains the battery. Happened to me once before

One… this is a completely different bike. Two… I think the lever was pressed whilst in the bike box on the way home! 🙈

@@TheCyclingTattooistif the high limit screw is too close you can use more battery as the rear derailleurs overstroke motion is restricted.

Just press the right shifter both up and down and it Will indicate your di2 battery percentage

Hey Thomas, I think you have the same Turbo trainer as me. I had mine die on me as the Bluetooth would no longer connect. I messaged Elite and sent them a video, they sent a new part and a video on how to fit it. Really good customer service! Keep on riding and keep making your videos 😀

Di2 hack - if you are left stuck in an impossible gear, plug another bike’s derailleur cable into your derailleur and change to a gear you can ride home with 👍

You can connect your Di2 with your Wahoo or Garmin and you will get an alarm when your Di2 battery is low. Very useful.

If you want to hang with those guys on climbs, go to Madeira and spend a couple of weeks on those roads. You will never fear a 12% grade again...ever. But the 28 will have to go.

If you let your Di2 battery go completely flat it will not hold charge when you charge it again. Found this out myself the hard way…

The biggest climb in Portugal has to be in Madeira Island… from sea level to 1840m high in 20km!

Get yourself a portable power bank, and use that to charge your di2 (even at home) makes it so much easier …

Yep I went back to mechanical from 12sp Di2. One less thing to charge and worry about and with compression less housing the shifting is so clean and quick. I don't miss Di2 at all

Sorry but I was laughing too much at your cadence suffering. Most of us have forgotten to charge our Di2 at some stage but when it goes dead a long way from home you learn the charging lesson quickly and vow never to let it happen again.
