Gosh, I can't believe the things that they throw away. I'm sitting here crying every night knowing that my kids won't have anything under the Christmas tree, but yet these store throw these things away that could be donated to people who TRULY NEED it. Thank you Josh and Nicole for doing what you do and saving these items! You rock!

Aww .. I've found quit a few brand new toys still in packaging, I've donated to the toy drives for the families who have difficulty during the holidays. It erks my nerves that they throw that stuff away .it erks my nerves even more when they purposely destroy the stuff. I personally couldn't destroy items even more so now after watching these videos and seeing all the good they toss..

Hey guys. I just moved back from another state. You guys got me doing this in Colorado and now back home. I noticed we hit the same dumpsters I had no clue you all were from my home. Glad that we salvage when the other is not out. I try to clean up what other divers leave some nights it is too much. Hope to see you out one night!

Same here, but I doubt they would throw things out like this. If they do it's very broken. Most stores here have a policy to send stuf back to the manufacturer. Broken or not. If returns are fine and not opened, they go back on the shelf or go for discount after testing, when opened. It's better for the environment ofcourse, but man I wish I could do this sometimes. Returning things are with different kind of rules then a lot of stores in the U.S. For instance, It needs to be returned with receipt always. (you can not work around it. No receipt, no return.) You can only return within 14 days after purchase. It needs to be in original package and bought at the specific store or chain. If it's broken it needs to happen within those 14 days and it must be clear that the brake didn't happen to wrong use or handeling rough, and so on. Ofcourse when there is a warranty on the item different rules aply.

I've been forwarding videos to my niece next week we are going to try it cross my fingers I hope we're able to find some stuff but most of all don't get scared out of our minds LoL! We are going to just take any bag that looks good lol! I excited

It's just sad. I'm in no ways well off but there are people that in worse places than I. I wish you all the best a hope you have a lovely christmas and a safe and happy new year. I found that same mirror last year and it is great! It connects to your phone by bluetooth so you can listen to music or talk on the phone while your getting ready. My light doesn't work but for the price i won't complain! I am crazy jealous of that Michael's score! All of them around me compost ☹ This is why diving is addictive because you never know what you'll find!

Agreed and stores are figuring out store locations and locking down dumpster's because I'm sure they're quite embarassed of their wastefulness

@@claudette6758 they don't recycle cause they can't. I'm guessing you never worked retail either. Stores are lazy they damage it out and use it as tax write off. At least diving is not illegal in most places. And there are people like us who dive daily and save a lot from going into the landfills.

The chalk boards are just for crafting... you can decorate them for different seasons if you want... or for your kitchen or kids rooms...

The chalkboard signs are often used in weddings. As an ex-Michael's employee I know that it is up to each store manager weather or not and what they donate. It does take a lot of paperwork but some managers find it worth it while others don't. They don't normally destroy stuff and they do try to clearance things down before tossing them but their clearance signs are on the shelf not on the tag for seasonal items.
