A mother's heart and a mother's love is never-ending. God bless them in their studies and college life. For me, that was the best time and the sisterhood in a sorority is lifelong.

Thank you so much for sharing your heart 💖💖!!!! Our daughter still lives at home (she is very smart) & has graduated college. WHEW! She has a very busy life so we don’t see her often but cherish the times we get to spend with her. It has been an adjustment not doing the things we all used to do together and those sit down talks. BUT we have learned to grab the moment - whether it is a text, a call, or face to face. We pray and thank God for her protection; her discernment; her provision; her friends - it is how we get through. Love and prayers for you sis!

What an absolutely wonderful video. As an empty nester I remember well how difficult this time is. Our first two went to the college on the other side of town and lived at home. Our third and fourth choose to go to college in another state. I remember crying like a baby when we dropped our youngest son off. He admitted later he cried as well. Our daughter on the other hand was so excited to be out on her own. I remember sending them care packages, mostly food, since college food isn't great. What a beautiful relationship you have with them. These gifts will be memories they will never forget and ones her sisters will be envious of. Don't be surprised if you get requests from your daughter's sorority sisters for some.

I’m way past those days of kiddos moving out, but I remember it well! There is almost 6 years between my first daughter and my son and then 5 1/2 years between my son and my youngest daughter. So that meant I had a few years after my first left before my son moving and going to college. I will say that my oldest daughter joined a sorority and has life long friendships with many of the girls. I remember that homemade cookies or brownies were always a hit. Just stay in touch with your girls but don’t call many times a day. You will get through this, it’s hard but they love you and you can do this🥰

My girls are 29 & 24 and are both thriving in their lives and chosen professions. I loved sending/giving them care packages while they were in college. I have worked really hard for them to always feel comfortable talking to me about anything, even when some things weren't easy to talk about. We are closer than ever now, I think because I have proven I'll be there no matter what. They still want my advice and help. The best part is that they appreciate me so much more and have figured out that they don't know everything, and I might actually know what I'm talking about sometimes...lol! All that to say that it takes more effort to stay close when they are away at college, but if you continue to be there for them, I think they will be so happy to have you as a mom AND friend once they begin their adult lives and appreciate you even more! Hang in there!! ❤

This is a truly wonderful video for so, so many reasons. Couldn’t agree more about crafting being therapy & I’m most happy when I have figured out “the” gift (+++) that I can make for my daughter, husband & other family members & friends - (I make many types: cards, t-shirts, wall decor, tumblers, & more) my Cricut machines have also helped me with this aspect of making them with the person in mind - so much fun. Shannon, please know that the things you have shared in your videos have contributed to my (& I’m positive many others’) Cricut / craft / diy successes. It might not have seemed like you were making gifts for us this way, but I think it’s accurate to say you have! I have been similarly blessed with videos of some of your YT friends’ channels, too - & I might not have known about them if you hadn’t shared (eg. like Christmas in July series). I don’t have words of advice or wisdom per se, but it can be good to remember to make yourself a gift here & there, too. All the best to you & your family!

You are not alone. Many women, especially mothers are feeling the same way. Once we give birth, that's it! Our lives will be changed forever. In many beautiful ways, but we also take on the worries of our children, like you said. It's all part of being a mom. I reside in Georgia, and my 31-year-old son resides in Florida. The worry is 24/7. Even though he's a grown man, and he knows how to take care of himself, I still worry. No matter how old they get they are still our babies. I promise things will get easier, everything will settle into place.

Such a sweet video! I understand how you feel my oldest, Jaymie left home in Southern California for Central Michigan 11 years ago, my heart knew she was never going to move home which is exactly what happened, 3 weeks after we left her in Michigan she met a wonderful young man and fell in love, they are still together, happily married and we absolutely love our son in law. Our youngest Jodie decided to also move to Michigan 5 years ago, it was comforting knowing my 2 girls were close together but this Mama hated being 2500 miles away so my husband and I bought property close to them and 4 years ago also moved to Central Michigan. Now we may not all live in the same house but we’re all in the same state only 30 miles apart not 2500. Next we’re moving my Mom from California to Michigan and I’ll have all my loves close, oh and did I mention we also moved our niece and her family out here too. One happy Mama. I know it’s hard Shannon but time helps, do your best to keep in touch with those busy girls and always let them know Mama loves them. Send hugs to you. 🩷

I found it hard to let my kids go when they left home and i told each one of them that our door is always open if you need a place to stay for a while or if you just need a hug its always great to see you and i love you very much. Shannon i so feel what your feeling. it is hard to let them go but for your own sanity you have to tell yourself you have taught them all they need to know now its time to let them go. ask corny as that saying it as well as poetic it helped me let them do their own thing and hope they stay safe where they are it helps me even today and we have been empty nesters for a few years now the house is quiet most of the time but come the holidays and family comes home and now i have grand children now too the house comes alive while they are home and i have to say Shannon you still have your little man to dote over and make a fuss of. My eldest son has just moved into his new place and my daughter lives about 30 minutes away and my youngest is in BC which is on the West coast. Its a long flight or drive to go see him and i haven't seen my youngest and he was the huggee one, always had a hug for no reason for his mum, even with my other two living so close i miss them every day You spent your life getting them ready for the big wide world and then you have trouble letting go of them. its a hard job being a mum for sure. You can find me on face book chat if you want to talk Shannon i am here for you. God bless you. They will surprise you just wait and see. They can do it! You got this girl!

I am immersed in campaign season, helping local politicians and political groups, and planning a Town Hall on illegal immigration issues. There are so many reasons to pray for family and our country. My "nest" has been empty for a long time; but memories of the empty next are as vivid as memories of filling that nest. Life transitions are always hard, especially if you face them alone. You can do this, Shannon!

My son and his wife moved out a month ago. They lived with me for over 5 years. I miss them even while enjoying the peace. Instead of busy work, try taking care of yourself and enjoying the rest of Summer.😊
