We call it “too dumb to fail” in Louisiana, I’m the poster child for the too dumb to fail campaign. Thanks for all the extra parts on an old truck that can be broken and warn out.

What are you talking about adjusting on the transmission to make it shift more in time?
@Daniel-Johnson7 ай бұрын
Nothing lol there is no "cable" that can be adjusted on the 4l60.. any adjustments made must be done in the computer 🖥 i was laughing as he kept saying that and I got the worst anxiety when he put that foam garbage back under the intake! Those are Nothing but moisture dams and aid in premature failure of the knock sensors, when moisture finds it's way in to that area it pools in the knock sensor cavities of the valley cover and rusts out the knock sensors or water gets into the knock sensors causing them to fail by leaving those foam pads out you allow air flow over the top of the valley cover so any standing moisture inside the knock sensor cavities can evaporate it's also common practice when reinstalling the knock sensor harness with the rubber caps to put RTV around them and seal them off completely

Why did he disconnect the power steering and the injectors

I’m impressed by you taking on a project like this. Also, seeing your perseverance with all the things that went wrong was quite admirable. It’s all a part of learning. Just think how much easier the next rebuild will go, because of what you’ve experienced.

Very enjoyable content, just the average guy with the average struggle. I am glad I am not the only one thinking these things when working on200k plus vehicles.

I try my best to show how things really are and not make it look easy, because it's not always smooth like butter
